I love this play and I’ll try to see the live relay, but the Royal Exchange, Manchester , production , with John Thaw from a few years back will take some beating .

Interesting - as for me, the definitive production is the 2013 Royal Exchange version with don warrington, though I know not everyone agrees! I thought it was a pitch perfect production. Dona Kroll was mesmerising. |

Well the £10 preview queues for this are pretty bonkers today! Tried on two devices, got number 285 on one and 3289 on the other!

Same! I think the Old Vic forgot to send out the emails telling people when they were going on sale as well! They're so focused on getting those loos ready... Lol!

2307 for me on three devices this was still the lowest and I was logged in pre 12pm. Strangely though it hasn't moved even one place since.. suspect something wrong there.

Well I was number 285 and got put through to the website at 12:18 and made my purchase. My queue number didn't change the whole time, but the queue is definitely moving.

QueueIt changed their system. Your Queue joining number doesn't change any more, but your time remaining estimate shows how you are advancing in the queue.

I believe if you enter the queue in different tabs in the same browser you still have the same Queue ID, so you'll get the same queue number in both. You need to enter on different devices or different browsers if you want to have 2 different places in the queue. I used my laptop and phone (luckily the laptop had the lowest number, as navigating the Old Vics seating plans on a phone is a nightmare) |

Glad it's not just me staring at screen thinking well someone in the queue in front of me must have left by now. Does this system a really work? The other week I had 2 browsers open, one went into the queue a minute before the other but somehow still ended up further back? And surely on the same machine it's the same clock?
They're got us now though, can't move just in case somehow are nearer front of queue than it seems.

Thanks Steve in that case I could go for a long walk then since my time to wait has been going up rather than down, it's only one no ure less than half an hour ago |

They're got us now though, can't move just in case somehow are nearer front of queue than it seems. At Noon, a randomiser gives you a random queue number no matter when you joined. As long as you get in before noon, even by one minute, you'll get a fair shot. This saves wasting time joining the queue earlier.
I have a 22 minute wait left. I like this system. Its fair, it works, it doesn't require you to keep checking your email box for a priority email that never arrives (a la the Evan Hansen debacle), you know approximately when you'll get there, so you can do other stuff while you wait. lol.

For what it's worth to anyone still queueing, there are good seats still available on all nights in all 3 seating sections. I got in at 12.39 as number 654.

Waited until 1.54 to be let onto the site. Unsurprisingly, only a few restricted view seats left. I'd rather see it at the cinema than be stuck behind a pillar!

Weirdly the 'restricted view' had a label saying it was restricted for The American Clock only...I took a chance on one of those and hope it won't be too restricted for this show.
