vabbian , how was the view? I'm a couple of rows behind in two weeks. Thank God for shows that have Tuesday matinees. Making the most of my (short) theatre trip. Good sightlines, no obstructions, as long as you aren't next to the wall Aisle seats could be nice/annoying depending if you like actors walking past every few minutes

Was in E26 stalls thank you TodayTix! Good legroom - sightlines a little dodgy but largely due to direction.
I thought it was fine. A solid 3 star production with two 4 star leading performances. But I really thought a lot of the cast were naff - especially Louise Gold, and most of the daughters. Nyman’s accent seemed to go on a world tour too, but he went down well and sang up a storm so willing to forgive.
Set was fine, but I’m not really a fan of static - maybe would have been more impressive at the Menier.
Won’t be going back, but it got a standing ovation. So, yeah

Saw this last night from the £20 row N stalls seats (17/18/19) - thanks again to whoever tipped us all off about those! They were amazing seats for that price - am regretting not booking more of them now before they put the prices back up. View was perfect, legroom wasn't bad at all and it was nice to have a row to ourselves without anyone else needing to get past us. Though I did almost have a heart attack on 3 separate occasions where a cast member entered from the back fo the stalls shouting loudly.
Never seen Fiddler before, and I thought this was brilliant - couldn't really fault it at all! I took my parents who had seen it on the original London run, and they thought this production was outstanding and loved every second.
5 stars from me!

At least we still have Rush tickets for £25.

Like the sound of both of them, not massively keen on the current two.

Anita Dobson can only improve on Louise Gold, who is typically dreadful in this.

I wonder how long Anita and Maria will be in the show?
I'm sure it will extend past September as long as it continues to sell...

I wonder how long Anita and Maria will be in the show? Till they're needed in West Side Story.

I wonder if Freidman will go to the trouble of learning her lines?

Twice in one concert. She then said f@ck it and I thought f@ck her lack of professionalism!
Even before that I never got the MF hype

Wonderful show - just brilliant! Loved it and would go see it again at the drop of a hat!
Stalls F13 was a great seat - a little snug to get into but plenty of room once in.
Really pleased I managed to see it!

was a great show-- yes dream sequence was a mess- not only the staging but the sound was terrible for that number. Most of lyrics unintelligible which is a shame as is such a clever song. Yente a weak link- and yes Teyve's accent drifted to Northern Ireland a fair few times, but really is a great show. Full of emotion and energy and joy. Am delighted I am seeing it again.

Very much enjoyed this on Saturday afternoon - particularly Judy Kuhn, who is superb. It's a solid production with excellent performances (with the dishonourable exception of Fenton Gray, who charts entire new dimensions of witlessness as the Rabbi), and the set is terrific. I think I prefered what Gemma Bodinetz did with the final scene in her revival at the Everyman in Liverpool a couple of years ago - without changing a word, she managed to drive the piece's contemporary relevance home in a way that was incredibly powerful, whereas this production, with the set built out into the auditorium, feels a little bit like a trip to an Anatevka theme park, an impression which was reinforced by, well, THIS:
Tacky, tacky, tacky. I mean, think about it: "Ladies and gentlemen, before you enter the theatre to watch Cossacks violently forcing a village full of Jewish peasants to abandon their homes and flee for their lives, would you like to order a pogrom-themed cocktail?" It's thoroughly crass, even by the (incredibly low) standards of the Ambassador Theatre Group.

This must be a very dark joke surely? And what/whom is Mordcha? Has the perpetrator of said joke struggled to spell Mordechai perhaps? I can't imagine even Mr Moneybags of Menier fame would consent to something as low as this. What next? Audience selfies atop the carts being pushed out of Anatevka? I'mu utterly gobsmacked and just hoping that this isn't actually a real thing.

Mordcha is the innkeeper, and I'm afraid this is absolutely real. I took the picture in the theatre before the show on Saturday afternoon.

^Absolutely disgraceful on every level.Wonder if the creator of this hideous idea has even seen the show or is it just another woeful marketing botch-up.Very shameful

I spotted the cocktails when I went a couple of weeks back, I was more taken aback by the downstairs bar being fully reserved for VIPs - not sure Us and Them is in the spirit of the show?

Half the downstairs bar was open to us unwashed (metaphorically, I am of course always pristine) plebs on Saturday afternoon, and half of it was not-very-subtly curtained off. Also tacky, but not as tacky as the cocktails.

Well in all my years of listening to Fiddler (i was practically raised listening to the soundtrack on repeat) and seeing various different productions, I never knew the innkeeper had that name. You learn something new every day. I hope someone puts in a complaint to ATG/Menier/SFP about this appallingly tasteless money-spinner Honestly, it's like something Chris Morris would have thought-up for his TV show 'Brass Eye' (Sutcliffe -The Musical anyone?). Shame on whoever came up with this idea and the people who went along with it and good work for pointing it out sf.

It now seems Judy Kuhn is finishing on Saturday 8 June, with Maria Friedman starting on Tuesday 18 June?

This is so disappointing. I booked for the 15th June a little while ago before the cast change announcement and was so relieved I'd just catch her but now I'm going to miss her anyway? Hopefully it's some kind of mistake.
