This powerful, but entertaining play is being presented by Green Carnation Theatre Company (a new company formed to produce LGBTI relevant work in Manchester) at Hope Mill Theatre October 18th - 20th. Described by the Guardian as ‘Marvellous, sad and blisteringly funny. A brave and rewarding drama that speaks to us all.’ Alternating between 1958 and 2008, The Pride examines changing attitudes to sexuality, looking at intimacy, identity and the courage it takes to be who you really are. It celebrates the ideals of gay pride and challenges ideas of shame and the worth we put on ourselves. Directed by Dan Ellis, the cast includes Simon Hallman, Joanna Leese, Gareth George and Alexander Thompson. You can book here - hopemilltheatre.co.uk/events/the-pride/Oh and I've got a new hat on as Associate Producer. It means I walk around full of me own self importance!!!!

congrats! Hope Mill are kicking ass these days, so good to see! I should say that it is a visiting production not a Hope Mill produced show, but "The Pride" will add to both reputations!
