Just on the tube back from this and wow, what an intense experience! It's incredible that my heart was pounding so hard at the end even though there wasn't any real action on stage, just chilling dialogue. Incredible play, so glad I managed to see it. I cannot wait for whatever Stone does next.

Agree this was amazing! Definitely worth a trip tonight if you are at a loose end. Sales seem to have picked up following the reviews - the balcony was closed but the other levels looked pretty full. Some empty seats at the front of the stalls but I think those are sometimes classed as restricted view for foreign language performances due to the subtitles. Cast were great including the two boys - interesting to learn the older one played Billy Elliot in the Dutch production. Wonder if this will return for a longer run in an English language version (presumably he wrote it in English!). He's already directed it in German - www.burgtheater.at/de/spielplan/produktionen/medea/termine/2019-03-22/983882494/

Agree with everyone else that this was phenomenal. I was front row centre in the stalls and had to crane a little bit to read the supertitles, but not too much at all. Highly recommended!

It was very good although the main actor seemed to disconnect his mic by accident at some point making it sound distorted but it was only for the last ten minutes or so and he had little to say beyond that scene. The visual quality wasn't brilliantt (not terrible but a low bit rate it seemed) and there was a weird sort of shifting or skipping of the screen every so often but it seemed like it only happened on certain cameras. None of that was distracting enough to detract from the performances though which were just as good as I remember.

I'm glad they've started doing this - and not before time. It struck me as odd that they weren't broadcasting stuff throughout lockdown. Perhaps they had nothing recorded.
