I can see Christine Tucker being promoted to maternity cover standby. But they'll then need to get someone in as an ensemble cover? They'll just get an maternity cover for the standby its much more economical and easier to just replace one role than move the other around and then replace that At the moment Christine is due to leave in march at the cast change and seeming she has been so reliable this last year I think producers might potentially ask

Even after she left maternity cover she kept getting asked back to standby (even though she was in the building didn't go on). She's very reliable and Wicked's go to person and she's just finished King and I as well.

Based on tweets from WestEndUnderstudies, Lucy hasn't performed as Glinda since February 9th, and has only performed three shows so far this month.

Christine has been confirmed to stay as maternity standby Glinda, and also Jessica Aubrey has been added on as an additional cover for Elphaba.
This should hopefully mean they're not having to call people back as much!

Did they formally announce Christine anywhere? Or just release a photo of her as Glinda? So random!
And 5 cast members playing/covering Elphaba in one production? That’s crazy, but I suppose it’s needed.

Hello there I'm new here. Big Wicked Fan! I noticed that Alexia is also out a lot recently. Now they anounced a third Elphaba Cover. Wouldnt be suprised if Alexia would leave at some point for similar reasons as Lisa? I just think its weird that she is missing so many Shows and they have a 3rd Cover now. But maybe its also something completely different. I hope she stays as planned, she is absolutely incredible as Elphaba.

I want to book this specifically to see Alexia, and actually have no idea when to go? It's basically pot luck

New cast = fresh start? My theory is Alexia has been off in order to give Amy more chances to go on ahead of her departure but this could be totally wrong and is just a theory.

The one time I flew to London during Lucie's contract as Elphaba to see the show ... she was of course off that night.
Seeing as I didn't enjoy it much that night - and that cast member is still there, refusing to leave (lol) - I guess I won't take the risk to not see Alexia in a few weeks either.

There was a period of 9 weeks straight where Alexia didn’t miss a single show. She must have sustained an injury or something which means she is unable to do the show, she must be waiting until she is 100% before she does return..

Alexia was on for the evening show on Wednesday, 28th Feb. Amy Webb went on for the matinee.
Looking at West End Understudies I don’t think Alexia has been on since the 28th.

Alexia has had very patchy attendance the last few months, as has Lucy. I wish them both the best, and hopefully their attendance will improve for their second contracts.

From Lucy’s instagram, looks like she’s been back doing the show for the last week or so.
