I do hope you get a full production of The Light in the Piazza. I saw the original Lincoln Center production five times, each visit simply sublime. When it was filmed for telly it looked great. Wasn’t it done at Leicester ? I think that is the only UK production. I do see it as a small intimate show (it really has a handful of characters and bugger all for the chorus to do) and think it would get lost in a big theatre The Vivian Beaumont Theater where it played in NYC is an 1100-seat house with a vast stage, but the primarily front and center staging made it work. A more intimate setting would no doubt showcase things better.

I'm surprised Next to Normal has never come over. While it didn't win the Tony for Best Musical, it was nominated for 11 (and won 3).
And I can't imagine it would be very expensive to stage, given the set/size of the cast.

It was done at Leicester in 2009. It starred Lucy Schaufer, Caroline Sheen, and Matt Rawle, it was directed by Paul Kerryson, and I thought it was an excellent production. It worked perfectly well in the main theatre at Curve (not huge, but also not small); I don't think it sold very well, though.
