I've just downloaded the NHS App and set myself up in less than five mins with proof of vaccination and a Covid Pass for events and travel valid for one month. It's not difficult, and if it keeps theatres open then we should all do our bit and download it (if we have the means). If this is the new normal then I'm happy for a bit of bureaucracy for peace of mind across all theatregoers.

So I've twice had to use this NHS passport...the first at Wimbledon where you had to take photographic ID to match your covid passport name and the 2nd in Leeds today, a government test event, but no identification was required...i actually screenshot my mams pass (so it could have been anyone's) to make it easier for her to find and i believe you can put any result in for your lateral flow...so are these actually worth the paper they are printed on...so to speak

The whole evening was just incredible - the cast were amazing (Gemma and Sam are brilliant additions to the cast), the atmosphere was insane, and we had 2 very emotional speeches from the producers at the end who had most of us in tears by the end. Just the best evening possible.

A very good show, but it was unbearably hot in the venue. They also had some sound difficulties and bad balancing at the start, but this got fixed as the show went on.
A standing ovation after the first number and the show went on for two hours with all the cheering and speeches.
I was in the standing position at the back of the Dress Circle, which is an excellent view (apart from during the ovations when you couldn't see a thing). I wouldn't recommend booking the back row of the Dress Circle though unless you want people directly behind you. The floor is rather creaky too (as in the back of the seats where people lean) and there is a lot of usher traffic in that area. Several people left during the show and didn't return, but I suspect that was due to the heat.
Funnily enough, the same male couple who were in the row in front of me at Joseph yesterday (and I've seen at a few other shows) were also in the row in front of me today.
A very nice touch with the producer speeches at the end, including a verbal note that the show was dedicated to the memory of everyone who died during the pandemic. That got the applause it deserved, but I do wonder if the half of the Dress Circle crowd who couldn't be bothered to wear a mask understood the irony of the situation and how disrespectful they were being?
It was a very memorable night. Excellent performances all around. You would never know the cast had been away or that it was the first performance for two of them. The souvenir cup was a nice touch too and thanks for the ushers for finding the standing patrons to make sure we all got one too (or those of us in the "standing seats" as another usher referred to them).

It should be said they were completely respectful throughout, and no screaming at inappropriate moments or at the end of Me And The Sky (which could easily have had as Alice did a brilliant job) - just sheer joy at what was taking place in front of them.

I would say 98% mask wearing in the Upper Circle tonight, and everyone very respectful of those around them and just excited to be there. It was hot but that has always been an issue with the Phoenix (and other theatres) and it wasn't unbearable where I was.
Sound cues were very late for the first number (which the producers even recognised in the speeches at the end!) but I would guess that more than 90% of the audience had already seen the show so it almost didn't matter.
Other than that it was an absolutely brilliant evening. A few changes I noticed since I last saw the show at cast change but they worked well and the cast were all excellent. The atmosphere was out of this world (on a par with the infamous closing night of the 42nd Street revival!) and will live long in the memory. What a joy!

I would say from what I saw in the stalls around me, at the most 50% of people wore masks. I wore mine and will continue to do so until numbers start coming down again. Also hope the checking of the event passes and LFT emails will start to be a bit more thorough, the person checking mine had a cursory glance at best, I could have shown my Tesco pay QR code, because she definitely didn't look at the screen long enough to check the expiry date on it or even read the text or dates on the email that my friend showed on his phone. I guess with getting this many people through the door, it's tricky to properly check, but there is no point in requiring Covid Status if it isn't properly checked.
But can only echo what a glorious night in the theatre last night was. I was slightly unlucky and had a couple of over-excited Wicked/Alice fans behind me that felt the need to whoop almost every time she belted a high note and also did the very annoying, pretty loud 'attention-crying' at the sad bits which was a bit irritating, but for the most part the whole audience was super enthusiastic and supportive and I absolutely adored the speeches from the producers at the end, so moving and so fitting. The new additions to the cast were both fabulous and there was no way to tell that that was their first night. All the cast were clearly emotional after such a long break and getting this reception from the audience. Definitely a night at the theatre that I will remember for a very long time.

After what seemed like a very long wait I finally got to see Come From Away again last night. My booking had been changed so many times for what was originally a concert performance.
This was also my first show with full capacity and, from what I could see, it really was full.
I wasn't disappointed and I had forgotten how funny it is.
Great cast, great songs, great show.
As the lights went down at the end the whole audience was on its feet by the time the lights went up for the bows to a huge ovation.
I am sure that since theatres have reopened the audience response is much bigger than it used to be for everything I have seen, even at half capacity.
Lovely FOH lady even found one of the "Welcome back to the rock" badges for me.

Those badges are a nice touch - they were giving them away as we left yesterday afternoon. Love this show - didn't love seat F4 in the dress circle. Knees wedged against the seat in front - I'm 6'0" so hardly a giant. I still enjoyed the show, though will avoid the sides of the dress circle in future.

So good to see this show again. I caught it in previews and loved and last night was even better, I really noticed so much more on another viewing.
Huge praise to the creatives and cast for crafting and executing the story with great imagination and skill.
I'm guessing a lot of the punters had seen this before as the laughs came often before the punch lines.
In the stalls not much mask wearing was going on, is, this what happens when you show you covid passport?

Has anyone been to this lately? My tickets say arrive 60-90 mins before the performance. I know they're checking covid status and I like to be in good time but this seems a bit excessive.

While you can show up whenever, for the sake of the poor front of house staff, it is worth getting there slightly earlier than usual. Covid checks take time (and this theatre does do them!) and if everyone shows up ten minutes before curtain, it's a nightmare for everyone involved!
