There’s a lot of availability still for this week, and the sat show has over 30% tickets still available. I thought the Oliviers win would give it more of a boost tbh, but then, they’re not the Tonys and barely seemed to be reported by the media and press 🙄 so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. I’m worried for its long term future although I’m sure it’ll be fine for a year or so.

I'm not sure if this has been posted on here (apologies if it has) but here is a short interview with Nick and Diane www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w3csyhy1It made me both cry and long to see the show again.

I've sporadically looked at how it's selling online and some weeks has shown decent availability, but then by the performances are either full house or close to sold out so in terms of selling it isn't an issue thus far. The issue may come in long term bookings, but they need to open their new extension to get a real idea.

the "booking until" part on the ATG website has been removed, so I imagine an extension announcement is imminent.

She hadn’t heard of it, despite its Olivier win, which just makes me sad about the state of national coverage of theatre on tv and in the papers ☹️ I know theatremonkey has written about it, but it’s worrying.

Shows like this do very well from word of mouth.
Tell your friends and post about it on social media.
A recommendation from someone you know if far more powerful for me than the words of some random journalism in a newspaper.

Turns out I can’t go tonight. Would anyone like to buy a rush ticket for tonight? B23 - £25?
TodayTix have said:
“You'd be welcome to resell or gift the ticket yourself, as long as you didn't resell at a profit. The person collecting would just need to confirmation email to show at the box office.”
So can send the confirmation email.

Managed to see this at last yesterday evening and thought it was phenomenal. Yet again no luck with the wretched lottery, which has yet even to offer me a single ticket, but I got a day seat at the Box Office as I was in London anyway. I felt really lucky as I didn't even get there until 10 am, by which time ticket sales were just starting but it was a short queue and if anything, the matinee seemed more popular from what I heard. Maybe the Easter weekend is untypcially quiet but @theatremonkey may wish to note this for his day seat chart.
The stage is indeed very high for this production (I'm 5'8" and couldn't see the feet of any cast member unless s/he stood right at the front) but for £20 and the chance to see this show, it was still a great deal - and though I can see why others return, I doubt I'll have the opportunity to do so soon so I felt very fortunate. I have no idea who any of the performers were but they were all so impressive and there was a great ensemble vibe.

Finally getting to see this tonight after managing to get a couple of rush tickets. Just hope it lives up to the hype.

"for the Pheonix Theatre" seems to be the clue to me, hinting at an extension announcement?

"for the Pheonix Theatre" seems to be the clue to me, hinting at an extension announcement? People on Instagram suggesting it's the 100th performance, which makes sense actually, but would love for it to be an extension.

Originally I was never really that interested in this musical and didn't think it would be my thing but after reading so many positive reports on here I had to go. Just shows how wrong i was! What a show! Loved everything about it. Set, lighting, choreography, band (who were amazing) and the cast. This is a real ensemble piece and not a weak link. Almost full stalls and an instant standing ovation at the end. Even from my friend who never ovates anything (I still haven't forgiven her for not standing for Chita). This deserves a long run.

today is a prime example of how well this show does on the day. On Monday I looked at the website and there was maybe about a third of seats left for tonight. Now, there is only 14 left and I imagine most of those will be gone by showtime! So glad at the success of this show!

When I was picking my tickets up at just before 6pm yesterday the person at the box office was saying to the person at the window next to me "let's see if I've had anything else returned", so they seemed to be down to returns only by then. I spotted a couple of empty seats a few rows in front of me but otherwise it seemed to be packed!

I took my parents on Tuesday evening and it was packed. It’s just wonderful to see it doing so well.
I bawled like a baby again and my parents were blown away by it. Another spontaneous and heartfelt standing ovation. The FOH staff at the Phoenix are just delightful too. A lovely evening at the theatre.
