Booked a cheap £10 ticket after I received the email on Thursday. First Monday performance when it's still in previews, looking forward to it!

The priority email crashed through my inbox just now. Only 5 hours later than anyone else... I've gone for row F stalls restricted, myself. You can miss the side of the stage - about 50cm or so. The big problem I've noticed with most shows there (and I sit there often) is that they do tend to hang speakers and lights from the side of the arch. Those really can get in the way. That's why I went further back than usual (my instinctive choice is always A or B - B in this theatre as legroom in A can be dodgy if they decide not to use AA), just to minimise that issue. Mark noted the whole thing plays centrally anyway, though, which must help, too. Thanks for the info, I've booked a similar seat. I don't usually book so far in advance!

It sounds interesting and I’d like to see it but 90 minutes straight through with this sort of subject matter...? Sounds more fringe-friendly than full blown west end to me. Same goes for Fun Home having seen that at the weekend, but I’m sure I’ll be proven wrong.

Oh no, I didn’t mean that. I love a one act show, in-out-bish-bash-bosh down to the pub etc and it sounds right up my street. But do you think your average WE punter is going to be happy paying full west end prices for a 90 minute show they know very little about? I know people on here will not pay those prices, being masters at getting bargains, but those are the published prices and the theatre will need to sell a proportion at full price.

Just got home tonight to find my ticket for next Feb (25th) has arrived! It’s going straight onto the ticket pinboard in the kitchen before it gets lost.

Mine also arrived today (I'm going on Feb 4th) it's gone alongside my Kinky Boots closing night tickets for now, I've just got to hope I can remember where I've put them when the time comes

I wanna see CFA so bad but money and time are in short supply for me so I doubt I'll get to see it in London. Really hope it tours at some point!

I need to find a way of storing my tickets until I need them, right now they're just in an envelope that I'm paranoid about losing. Hopefully you'll find a way to see the show in London, but I'd love for it to have a life on tour afterwards as well.

I’ve just purchased tickets, but to see it in Dublin. I wonder if the Dublin show will be exactly the same as at the Phoenix? It’s not a very technical or set-heavy show, is it?

I think this will be a hard sell to the general public. I wonder if it will last as long as The Drowsy Chaperone? At least that had some Tony Awards and Elaine Paige. Not that it helped them....

Zero comparison. Drowsy was fun and camp. Come From Away is about a life changing event that most of us remember. It changed the world and the show is amazing. It will have a niceness 2/3 year run.

I didn’t actually know this was a one act show - that would explain why the tickets were cheaper than I was expecting. It isn’t really selling as well as I expected - the opening night is about half full so far and there’s quite a few shows with orange buttons (medium availability) on the ATG website.

I was only 16 when Drowsy flopped in London. I made my dad drive me two hours (from Sunderland) and get a train from Doncaster so I could see it before it closed, because they had “made me” see The Lion King on our spring trip and “oh you can see the Chaperone next time”. I still have my “Putting the Gin in Original” poster on my bedroom wall!! I long for the day we get a big scale revival from one of the regional theatres, or even the Southwark treatment. The same can’t happen with Come From Away. Social media is the key now. This show is just too good to fail in the West End (as unfortunately, were Drowsy and Spring Awakening). I’m hopeful that times have changed!

And this is worrying how? February is seven months away. Except for a few die-hard theatre fans people aren't yet planning their theatre-going for winter and I doubt it's even reached the public conscious that this show will be opening in winter. It has plenty of time to get its marketing going during autumn when people are back from their summer holidays. And I don't think this compares to Drowsy Chaperone, which was a title that meant nothing to anyone whereas Come from away and the 9/11 connection and the way it's developed from a small Canadian show to a Broadway smash hit is an altogether different animal.

Drowsy started off as a turn at a Canadian stag party and then developed into a show 150 seat Canadian theatre ...
We know Come From Away is about 9/11 but does the man on the Clapham Omnibus?

In many ways who can predict what will succeed or fail these days? But honestly, a strong success on Broadway is a good place to start if you're transferring.
And no, Joe Public probably doesn't know about it right now, but what new musicals does Joe Public know about other than massive juggernaughts like Hamilton or film adaptations? that's what marketing campaigns are for.

Excuse me, mods, someone has brought common sense into a discussion about a musical, we simply CANNOT be having such behaviour.

Have they started casting for this yet, anyone know? There were casting notices out a few months ago for the Dublin run which will presumably be the same cast.
