Although it's been over a month since the industry launch for this new musical (described as part parody, part slapstick) I have just noticed that the cast for this has been announced on their official Facebook page some time ago, including Nathan Amzi!
I can't decide whether this idea for a show sounds interesting or disturbing...

mmmm, they were looking to have a live action movie made by 2015 - guess that hasnt worked out, not sure how they have ended up with a musical instead.

I'd been wondering when Southwark Playhouse would next chuck a musical our way. This could be complete genius and become a cult classic or plumb the depths of Exposure levels of badness.
Press night is 4th January, although it seems to be only the first four shows which are actually classed as previews. Booked for the last night on 20th January.

Well I've booked for January using one of my PAYG tickets - I've not yet seen anything at Southwark Playhouse that I didn't enjoy so hopefully this will turn out to be fun too!

Wow they're really short on original ideas at the minute... There are loads of people out there working on original material. They just don't always get a fair chance because original stuff doesn't sell as well with mainstream audiences. |

Had the Tabard in Chiswick not programmed this?
It was on their website. But no longer since the announcement of the Southwark Playhouse.
Strange.
Anyway, rather in the Southwark than in the Tabard.

It's slightly weird that it starts previews on the 15th, runs till Jan 20th, but doesn't have its press night till Jan 4th. (I'm aware of the existence of Christmas - ! - but it still seems bizarre to press three fifths of the way through the run.)

First preview tonight cancelled due to "Unforseen technical difficulties"
