I was in Slip Box 2 Seat 4 situated House Left. The final flight is over to this side meaning that Mary comes straight past you! Depends if you want the view from House Right. I was really impressed with the comfort and the ability to lean really comfortably on the ledge all night. Think it’s the comfiest I’ve ever been in a theatre!!! Sshhhh! Don't tell everyone how amazing these seats are and the best value for that view! I won't sit anywhere else now in there, so so good. |

Another vote from me. Sat here for ‘Miss Saigon’ in great comfort with a top view at a good price.

Can’t agree more about the show, effects, cast and more. Just wonderful
Zizi Strallen a little better on the high notes and loveable as ever. I liked that Claire Moore didnt play Miss Andrew as out and out evil but she could definitely add some oomph to her performance. Petula Clark was okay as the bird woman, but it’s not as though it’s a demanding role anyway
Liked the additions and changes. As to ‘Playing the Game’ it’s become more a set piece than a song. It’s as if the creatives preferred ‘Temper, Temper’ all along and finally had the liberty to cut ‘Playing the Game’ down dramatically and add a huge call back to the original. Not as scary but the family next to me were certainly creeped out

This was great fun but for me not a patch on the original production. I missed the the original set. Basically we are getting the much cheaper touring set but at West End prices. Still a good night out.
It took me a while to warm up to Zizzi Strallen's voice, she sounded a bit harsh at first but she did a good job and won everybody over. Disappointed with Claire Moore's take on Miss Andrew, rather dull. Petula Clarke was fine but she has an easy role to play. Charlie Stemp was good too but I'm starting to wonder if he's just a one trick pony, same cheeky chappy routine as in Half a Sixpence and Hello Dolly. It'd be nice to see him in a different kind of part.
Didn't like Playing the Game at all. I wished they hadn't discarded Temper Temper, it was so much better imho.
The choreography is wonderful. Very energetic ensemble too.
Overall very entertaining, but not as good as the original

Paul F Monaghan has joined the cast to play Admiral Boom/Bank Chairman. This was originally due to be played by Barry James but he left before the first preview for reasons unknown.

I saw this Friday night. Seat B6 stalls. No problem with the view except you can't see the stage floor. This is an isle seat with nothing in front of it. Very good value for money. However I too had a problem with the sound especially at the start of the show, where the orchestra totally drowned out the singing. Not sure if this is throughout the theatre or just front stalls as someone else mentioned this who was in Row C but high numbers.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the chemistry between Zizi and Charlie and thought Petulia Clark was absolutely fine for her small part.
I also really enjoyed the dancing. STEP in Time was so joyous.
The final flight worked for me and I found it quite magical.

Saw this from the end of Row C Stalls yesterday. Great leg room and you could see most of the stage apart from the extreme edge. Yes, it's fairly obvious from that angle how most of the illusions are done (and you can see the actors in the wings getting ready for them), but that's not really an issue for me.
Petula Clark was excellent, as expected. Really commanded the stage and got an instant standing ovation from most of the audience. Such a shame she didn't get an added song or two (and this runs about 10 minutes under the advertised 2 hours and 50 minutes, so there's room there).
All the cast are very good in this. Yes, it's the touring show, but this seemed better than the tour to me.
The downside is the sound quality ranges from terrible to acceptable. At one point it was as if it was muffled and an echo. When I've spotted this at venues before, it often coincides with when they move from singing live to miming, but I didn't spot any obvious miming with this one. Something that needs to be sorted out.
The audience wasn't too bad. One loud crinkler immediately after the unwrap the sweets announcement for the first five minutes. My seat neighbour tried staring, then a minute or two later I had to turn around and stare, which did the trick. There were also a very upset child in the second half, yelling and crying from one of the upper levels for at least 10 minutes off and on, which must have really annoyed the people sat nearer than me.
I don't think I'll rush back for another £50 (or so) seat, but will try one of the cheaper options when I see a good deal. I'd be interested to see some of the magic from further back.

Hi, did the lottery yesterday. 45 minutes after it opened, I got through and managed to get Dress Circle G3-4 for next Monday. The other dates were showing as sold out so not sure if similar seats were being sold across the week. |

I phoned them up to get a third ticket and booked g33 at full price. Hoping the seats will be ok, bit worried reading theatremonkey’s site. |

I’ve never been a big fan of Tim Bano’s reviews. A lot of the time they seem based on whether he himself was in a good or bad mood watching the show!
The reviews overall seem generally pretty good, with 3 to 5 stars, but I thought they might be more gushing than they are tbh.
