Saw this last night, what an amazing show. Ok it lacks the visual bang the West End version had but I found this production closer to the film and we laughed and cried. Great use of actor musicians too. Mark Inscoe as Bernadette was sensational. Takes about 45 mins to almost the end of the district line. Everyone must go see it. I laughed and cried! 9/10

I saw this show last night and thought it deserved a mention. It was a tremendous regional production and is well worth a visit if you're in the area. The use of instruments on stage was great and most of the actors had outstanding vocals and their rendition of Cyndi Lauper's True Colours nearly had me in tears. I'd not seen the previous West End version or the film so didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised and thought the show fully deserved it's rapturous standing ovation at the end. Very uplifting and entertaining!

I hope Hornchurch continue to do in house professional shows. At the end of the Disctrict Line it could easily get itself a good name and do annual shows. It’s a lovely large space and comfortable sloped seating.

Broadway World reported yesterday that this show was the theatre's most successful production ever outside of it's annual pantomime which doesn't surprise me. Before that, it was The Rocky Horror show in 2011 which was also brilliant. If they can keep putting on productions of such a high calibre then they'll certainly be drawing in the crowds and all for a good price too! I've seen a few shows here and they've all been great and I agree that the seating is really comfy with loads of leg room which I can't say about a lot of West End theatres.
