Maybe. The whole search thing is messed up as I said. What PB have done HAS revealed two Tour threads though so I’ll be getting busy merging those 😠

Out of interest, did anybody here see the original cast? How was Lisa Stokke?

Out of interest, did anybody here see the original cast? How was Lisa Stokke? Saw the original cast in August 99 after queuing up for returns. I remember the cast being excellent, Lisa Stokke made a very good Sophie. I love her performance of I Have A Dream on the cast recording.

Under Attack is the one for me on that recording - it's my favourite song from the show (yes, really!). Amanda Seyfried sings "The Name of the Game" astonishingly beautifully on the movie soundtrack, shame it was cut for time as it's easily the tightest song on the whole soundtrack. I had such high hopes for her Cosette, too...

I was under the impression she got stick for the OCR, that's why I asked... Personally I love it, so I wondered if she was bad on stage or something. I appreciate I am a few decades late.

Given the voices that they have gone with since they were clearly after a type. It used to frustrate me that it was always so young & childlike, but its not my show. Whenever they’ve gone with someone with a bit more ooomph (Hayley Flaherty, Alex Jay) I have enjoyed it more.

There’s been a new cast announcement today and taking over as Sophie will be Meg Hateley! Linzi’s daughter. It’s her first west end role and I can’t wait to see her I’m certain she’ll be fabulous!

Saw this yesterday afternoon. It was absolutely freezing in there. I had to put my coat on. The only show of the so very many I've seen where they kept doing time calls. It made me think of "Noises Off" act 2.

My thoughts exactly when I went last autumn. I wanted to see Mazz as Donna and was so glad she was on the day I went. Absolutely loved her singing The Winner Takes It All. I think it actually made me well up!

Was it worth the 23 year wait, anita ? It was OK. It would of been better if I hadn't seen the original film.

Anyone know why Mamma Mia is running a Monday matinee this week? It’s an unusual day.
Good availability too. I would have attended but can’t change around my work commitments.

There was a Thursday matinee as well. I walked past the threats.
Is this normal?

Thinking about this one, it's cast change this coming week and I see they've cancelled the Sunday performance (for one week only), so maybe they wanted cast change on a Saturday evening, then they could use Sunday for a dress rehearsal for the new cast? But that's just a hypothesis. (I'm also guessing "threats" is an autocorrection for "theatre", although I some of those swimsuits can be quite threatening )

Has anyone found any decent ticket offers for Mamma Mia recently? I'd like to see the new cast once they start but most of the decent seats are pretty eye-wateringly expensive & Theatre Monkey is not encouraging about the views from any of the cheaper slip seats.

Earlier this year I managed to get 2 excellent centre stalls tickets on TodayTix rush. Was a Sunday matinee so possibly helped!

Ah, so they do do rush. I wasn't quite sure from the TodayTix website. I'd ideally like to be able to book at least a few days in advance, as I don't live in London, but if there are no other offers around then I guess I might have to try rush.

Yes, I’ve seen good seats come up on rush. And the theatre box office did me a great discount when I turned up and asked 15 mins before curtain up! So that’s worth a try too.

Thanks. I guess I'd better reinstall the TodayTix app on my phone, if I've got enough space for it.

A very enjoyable muck-up matinee yesterday. I've seen the show a few times with the current (well, as of today, previous) cast and this is a show I regret staying away from for so long. I've always managed to sit front Stalls and have never had a problem with the audience where I've been sat.
Yesterday, I managed to get front row Rush, from where you can never fault the view. For some reason, front row never seems to become available at 10am, it always randomly appears later in the day if available.
Anyway, this is a show that really embraces the Rush spirit. I've never seen so many people on stage at different times, plus random choreography and dodgy accents. The swings all managed to find a way on. I don't remember seeing men in hen party before, or nuns dancing in sombreros. We had the usual scenes with unadvertised solos. And I'm sure there were a load of things others who know the show better than me would have picked up on.
I finally saw Jack Danson as Sky, whose role has been covered by several different people when I've been before. I did feel rather sorry for him when in the stag do scene he realised he would not be getting a wet suit to wear that performance. He went on like a true professional, just like the groom does at a real stag do.
Gemma Atkins was on as Donna and also performed admirably, especially with the chaos going on around her. I've also seen her cover Tanya and, although slightly too young for the roles, she acts up well and has a great voice.
Anyway, fantastic cast for a show that continues to sell very well. Let's see what the new year on Kalokairi brings.
