You saw Mazz Murray as Donna (there was something weird as hell going on with the cast board today!) - and yeah she's definitely got the best voice of the lot! Thank you! Much appreciated

I’m on my own Unstoppable Ticket Booking Spree and was at the matinee, there was a slip in the programme saying Donna was played by Caroline Deverill, who is not apparently in the cast. Looking at her Instagram it appears to have been a one-off.
Did Mazz Murray do the evening show?

Sounds like Mazz did the evening and Caroline did the matinee. I hadn't clocked there was two shows today as it's a Monday (and had a friend in this eve who saw Mazz!)
Amazing that Caroline was back for one show!

Were there any other covers on? I did a decent walk around and couldn't see any board (and my programme had no insert).

All the slip says is ”At this performance, the role of DONNA SHERIDAN will be played by CAROLINE DEVERILL —————————— This performance will be conducted by Marcus J. Savage” There’s no bio or previous credits or anything. Not sure why they noted the conductor as he is listed in the programme as the musical director/keyboard.

Hi everyone, Me and my partner are hoping to book tickets to see Mamma Mia once it reopens at the Novello. My partner would love to see Mazz Murray perform as Donna (after seeing her recent performance on'The Show Must Go On' concert via YouTube), and I wondered if anyone might have heard any information on a cast performance / holiday schedule? We are looking at booking for a Monday evening show, and it would be great to find out if this might be a scheduled 'alternate night'. I appreciate that it can never be guaranteed as to what artist will be performing... but we would love to try and increase our odds! :-) Thanks so much, Sam Hey everyone, I don't suppose anyone knows if Mazz Murray has been performing as Donna on Sunday performances since the show reopened? We had to rebook our original tickets due to Covid and are now scheduled to go and watch it on Sunday 3rd Oct - keeping fingers crossed for Mazz! :-) Thanks so much, Sam

Having first seen Mamma Mia! back in 2000 at the Prince Edward and falling in love with the show then, 21 years later and after many, many visits both in London and on tour, it’s still my number 1 show that never fails to put a smile on my face. For 2.5hrs, I can just live my best life, singing, dancing and clapping along when required and with a visit to the Novello tonight, the show still can work it’s magic. With a front row stalls ticket and Mazz Murray singing ABBA, this was just a joy to watch. With the ladies that have played Donna over the years have all been fantastic, but Mazz is just on a totally different level vocally. “The Winner Takes It All” being sung by Mazz was worth the ticket price alone and being sat only a few feet away was something special. Mazz Murray really is a gift from the Gods to MT.
The rest of the cast were great fun and vocally great. The band of 8 led by Marcus Savage really sounded great and the sound mixing spot on so you could actually hear the cast sing and still appreciate those intricate ABBA melodies.
In all my trips to watch this show over the years, tonight’s audience was one of the best I’ve ever sat in. Being a Saturday night I really was expecting the drunk hen party crowd in as is usual with this show (and other jukebox shows), but in the 2.5 hrs, there wasn’t any trouble. A really respectful audience tonight so we could all enjoy the show in peace.
A 5⭐️ show.

The scheduling for Mazz’s shows off seems to be quite random since reopening, I did a Thursday matinee last month and saw Natalie Langston as Donna. I think it used to be Friday nights off but who knows now.

Anyone know Mazz Murrays current performance schedule? Hoping to grab a rush ticket Wednesday and wondering what the chances are of seeing her.

She usually has Sunday off as her scheduled show off, but it's been Friday the last couple of weeks with Sunset and another concert.

Well no Mazz tonight but my gosh Natalie Langston was a fabulous Donna! Josie Benson also a particular standout as Tanya. I overheard someone saying some cast had been called back and I think they may have been a few ensemble members down - just really pleased the show was able to go on if I’m honest! Great night and atmosphere.

Tonight's performance cancelled. Did have tickets for tonight too (other half has been desperate to see it for ages!) From the official website, although we've had no email or anything: MAMMA MIA! LONDON Consequently, tonight’s performance on Friday 17th December 2021 at the Novello Theatre, London will be cancelled.

The cast getting quite a part in the Jubilee Pageant today. Had to laugh at the commentators who didn't appear to know who they were "Is that Abba? I don't think so but they're making a pretty good job of it"

Another did mention it was Mazz Murray, but said she was from the Abba film 🙂 I’m sure Mazz was in one or both of the films (I forget which) as a background singer/dancer so not technically wrong 😅

…didn’t see any signs up, but it was cover-tastic last night with covers on for Sophie, Sky, Tanya, Ali and Bill from looking at the cast on the website. Is it out of date or were there really five named roles off?

Some recent posts have been moved to the Tour thread. Thanks BB. The search box didn’t bring it up as an option when I searched for it (which is quite often the case). Is there a way to sharpen this up at all?

Is there a way to sharpen this up at all? I’ve asked Proboards to do a tidy up in the background for us, that can help with search results. Having said that the Search function on their software has always sucked and I don’t think that’s going to change any time soon. If you’re sure there’s a thread and you can’t find it using the forum search go to Google and search TheatreBoard Mamma Mia (for example) and theres a chance that might bring you the result you’re looking for.

Is there a way to sharpen this up at all? Proboards have jiggled some knobs or whatever the hell their boffins do over there. Could you try that exact same search again and see if you get a result this time danb? They’re asking if it’s helped.
