TodayTix is now telling me they are offering Rush tickets for this instead of the lottery. Don't know if that will make it easier to get discounted tickets mind.

They’re interested in bringing back obc leads to London for the Broadway pro-shot that never materialised because of Covid. Apple TV is what I'm hearing.

Tkts always has on the day tickets for this and they reduce prices on the main site, got a second row stalls seat for £50 the night before the show from there which would normally be 89.50. Problem with leaving getting a seat to chance via a rush at this theatre is so many limited views or uncomfortable, cramped seats, pity as the foyer and back of stalls corridor and bar are quite spacious.

I did absolutely no research into the cast before seeing this so was nicely surprised to find she was in the show when I went and saw it- having loved her in &Juliet too. It's just not the same listening to the other Hermes or the tinny recordings on youtube.

I feel conflicted about this, for me the only one that's replaceable is Zachary James (I just don't really like his portrayal of Hades, I much prefer Patrick Page's), so I wouldn't like any changes in the rest of the cast... Would this be a temporary change just for the filming or more long-term?

I thought Rush seats were usually good in London? I totally get though that relying on Rush is leaving it to chance.

When I was in London a few months ago (and then a few times before), if you were persistent and patient, you usually got the tickets after a few minutes. Now they have this lock after a few seconds which says "all rush tickets are being held" and you can't do anything and I wasn't getting them recently when I tried . Anybody has a comparison or opinion on this?

Can try again after a short time Can still be successful but unlikely for very popular shows.
Have found that if I don’t like tickets on offer, can get different, and often better ones, by rejecting and then repeating process.

Anybody has a comparison or opinion on this? The tickets "being held" bit just indicates that all remaining tickets have currently been selected by others who haven't yet paid for them. Tickets get locked for 5 minutes when you select them, to allow you to take your time with the payment. Must be quite popular

You need fast Wi-Fi/phone connection and you need to be super quick clicking the button - fraction of a second. It can be a frustrating process, but I can usually get tickets within a few tries, sometime on first try depending on the popularity of the show.

I get all that! I was actually almost 100% successful before the change, that's why I assume that my clicking is fast enough But since the change it hasn't been possible for popular shows. Thanks for the replies though!

Remember that a lot more people know about rush now; it’s a victim of its own success. Going back on about 10.10 can often reap great rewards. It is frustrating though that the system doesn’t do the same thing twice.

Saw Hadestown Yesterday matinee. Great to catch some amazing understudies as well. The amazing Miriam Nyarko was on this afternoon for Eurydice. And the amazing Waylon Jacobs on for the role of Hermes.
Any update on if the show is extending. Also saw on this subject a poster asked about Grace is she scheduled to be leaving then??. Would defo see the production again with grace in the role of Eurydice and Melanie La Barrie in the role of Hermes.

Grace is leaving quite soon to do Sunset on Broadway, but I cannot remember the date.

Nobody seems to be talking about Grace leaving. When is it?

I really really dislike Grace's voice. She shouts some of the songs and is juuuust under pitch for some of the high notes. This is true on recorded performances as well as in person IMO! So I'm also wondering when she'll leave as I will then very happily return to see her successor. 😁

I thought it would be around mid-July she's leaving. I really do like her Eurydice but I wonder if she's been saving some energy for Sunset which will definitely be her big hit.
Honestly I'd love for Madeline Charlemagne to move into the role. When I saw her as Eurydice, she was bloody BRILLIANT!!!

Anyone know which seats you get on Today Tix rush for this show?
Also do they go very quickly or are they fairly getable?

Saw the first of Zachary James' two solo concerts at Crazy Coqs last night. It was a very lovely evening, consisting wholly of Broadway standards. He's a real talent.
