Anyone know which seats you get on Today Tix rush for this show? Also do they go very quickly or are they fairly getable? My friend & I managed to get them last month but it certainly wasn't easy. We were initially going for two tickets together but ended up just getting 1 each sitting separately. Even that was difficult. They go very quickly I think. We had good seats though. My friend got F7 and I got T3. Both in the stalls. Was worth the stress for £30.

Oh, wow. Both of them?!
How has this been doing recently? I know they randomly put up rush tickets instead of the lottery model, but I couldn't tell if that was indicitive of a drop-off in sales. It has certainly seemed to boost interest for now.
Seems to be a lot of box office bookings on the day judging by the booking site.

I've only seen this once since it came to the West End and I saw Orpheus's understudy. Anyone know why Dónal is leaving as well?

That's very early for them to leave isn't it?

That's very early for them to leave isn't it? Grace is doing Sunset Blvd in New York. Maybe Donal is doing more TV work? Missed him twice, gutted I'll not get a chance to see him, but oh well.

I saw a mid-week evening performance last week and it seemed pretty packed - there wasn’t much availability on the seating chart for the areas I was looking at. Having been obsessed with the cast album during lockdown I was worried that four years worth of expectations would be too much, but I absolutely loved it. Maybe Orpheus’ simple minded optimism was a touch overplayed but it just about worked, and I was so swept away by the whole thing I still gasped at the ending even though I knew it was coming. I was slightly distracted by what I assume were a couple of fans in the corner of my vision and who were violently head banging to any vaguely up tempo number, but otherwise it was a great audience who were really into it. Also top marks to Daniel Higham and his wonderfully showy trombone solos

I wonder if like Grace, Donal is going off to do something else to move his career along in bigger places. He's a great talent. It's a shame he won't stick around more though. Maybe he thought it would be a good time with Grace leaving.

Reeve Carney was there for ages and saw many different Eurydices so there must be some awkwardness haha Reeve left only three months after Eva? So he didn’t see that many!

I remember thinking at the time that it was very strange they didn’t have them exit together. Especially since they wasted no time in replacing him with a bigger ‘name’ in Jordan Fisher three months later.

Reeve Carney's been with the show longer than Eva, right, so maybe they renew their contracts at different times? Just guessing.
Whereas Donal and Grace probably were both signed for the same length of time around the same time.

Both were original Broadway cast so in theory, would’ve been on the same contracts, beginning at the same time, and extended at the exact same intervals. I suspect they held onto him and then realised audiences were in need of some new blood and chose to get rid. Their grosses have really bounced back up on Broadway since the two leads and Hermes all started being contracted for smaller stints. A new buzzy couple could do the same here very easily.

Makes sense. Thanks for explaining!

You'd hope they'll shove a cover in for a month and then get Jack Wolfe when N2N ends

What happened to the rumour that the originals were coming over to do a pro-shot? (But would love to see Wolfe’s Orpheus) ?

What happened to the rumour that the originals were coming over to do a pro-shot? (But would love to see Wolfe’s Orpheus) ? Too busy? Eva Noblezada is leading Gatsby, André de Shields Cats and Amber Gray has something new cooking, too, forgot what it was. If there's anything to it, they'd probably just fly them over for 2-3 days to film the show, but they wouldn't be doing it for a longer time. I'm also absolutely here for Jack Wolfe's Orpheus.

Amber is doing “Eureka Day” on Broadway, starting in November.

I was always slightly skeptical of the pro-shot rumour because they're all so busy all the time. Unless they somehow do it really quickly in the space of a few days, which would be super down to the wire!
I know the NT used to have a proper Hadestown pro-shot that you could view in the Archive, but no one would be allowed to watch that now (the amount of changes since then...!)

Now that Donal is leaving on 25/08, I might actually give this production another chance.
