With Lia Williams and directed by Polly Findlay. New adaptation by David Harrower.
Sounds interesting, The Donmar seems to have sparked back to life lately.
From 4th June

Polly Findlay will be hoping that the critics are kinder about this than her Macbeth

I'm not overly fond of Polly Findlay as a director, but it's a good cast at least.

This could be great. They're not using the clunky Jay Presson Allen adaptation which isn't as good as her terrific screenplay. Lia Williams' Blanche in Dublin was the stuff of legend - she could be a fabulous Miss Brodie.

Well it will be lovely to see it on stage but I can't help not being enthralled by the casting of Lia Williams. I'd have had this down as a perfect Anne-Marie Duff vehicle and God knows, she needs another faberoonie to get her teeth into.

Why have they only announced one play? They usually announce more.

I've booked. I’ve got some priority but there wasn’t much left on the Saturday in June I wanted. So popular choice.

As I thought, public booking going to be a scramble / gamble.
Let Chichester lapse this year as nothing appealed so now a good time as any to bite the bullet and switch allegiance to the Donmar.
Wish more places would do a monthly direct debit like the National, somehow the cost of a couple of coffees a month makes friendship appear less of a financial commitment especially if booking fees are rescinded.

Just booked, limited choice on my preferred evening date, booked a Saturday Matinee towards the end of the run, as lynette states 'a popular choice' Looked at other Dates, all seemed to be selling well, if interested in seeing and booking when opened to the public be there for when it opens, delaying may bring disappointment.

Yep I had three dates in mind, all midweek towards the end of the run, and only found stalls seats available for the last of them...

Managed to snag a £10 ticket for my preferred date in July when booking opened. Just checked now and there where still plenty of cheap tickets available. Though that was for a Monday night.

After all the complaints about membership not being what it was, I'm surprised to find that so many here are still Donmar members! I'm not and never have been, so from the above flurry I thought public booking must have opened, but I find it hasn't.

I finally joined last year, as I was finding I couldn't get tickets at all. I gave in. I am weak. Same here! My thought was that a couple of £10 tickets throughout the year and it pays for itself. After that anything else is a bonus!

Any priority members want to take me with them? I'll dress up real nice and everything...
I also panicked and thought I'd missed it based on the comments. Now I'm worried though, there seems to be a lot of demand, are there likely to be many tickets left for public opening? I tend to scramble for Donmar tickets with their klaxon releases after things have opened, but I'm very keen to get a bit more Lia Williams in my life so will try for public tickets.

Got in okay this morning, brief age old problem when it won't let me scroll down to see dates but got round by picking only visible date and then navigating from there. Was only looking for cheap circle seats and quite a lot of those. It did keep saying it wasn't adding to my basket but finally checked and had a whole load of them there so booked and out now.
