Just saw a mention in an article about "John" at the National that Annie Baker's earlier play "Circle Mirror Transformation" is being produced at HomeMcr in March - homemcr.org/production/circle-mirror-transformation/Good cast including Con O'Neill, Amelia Bullmore and Yasmin Paige from the Sarah Jane Adventures. Only the second production in the UK as far as I'm aware, after the Royal Court production in a community centre starring Imelda Staunton and Toby Jones.

I saw this the other night and really enjoyed it. It's the second Annie Baker play I've seen, after John, and it does feel like an earlier work, as it's simpler and less formally inventive with what it's doing - but! I don't mean that in a bad way at all. It's full of subtle characterisation and poignant performances. It's funny, it's sad, it's very recognisably human. Annie Baker captures what people can and can't say so well.
I'd highly recommend it as a quietly moving trip to the theatre.

I didn't realise there was a thread on this - I added my comments to the general regional thread elsewhere on the site. Yes, it's a very good production. I saw it on Tuesday night, the last of the previews, and really enjoyed it. I found the characters a lot more believable and rounded than John (the mundane bickering couple in John didn't engage me at all), and all strongly played. It's well worth catching if you can, though as it's only a short run, I wonder if it will reappear elsewhere?
