Is that nope it wasn't recorded live, or nope you're not sure? I love the extended Out Of The Darkness. I wish it was slightly faster with a bigger beat, like a real dance track. Make a proper finale.
It isn’t a live recording as far as I’m aware The bit that always makes me think it must be a live recording to some degree is on the opening track And you don't even know it at exactly 2.50 after the line "it's a tiny little thing", the music stops and there is the definite sound of audience reaction, not the company, audience. Its weird there is no applause or reaction after every song though so i suppose this could have just been added in so there isn't dead silence after that line. Strange.

So the backing track for And You Dont Even Know it is the same as the one used on the concept albums (the show orchestration is a little different) so I think it’s been added to get rid of the silence. It’s a bit of an odd choice really

Not particularly a fan (and by saying that I'm not saying I'm NOT not a fan..I just never hopped on the Drag Race bandwagon) but I am so happy to see so many good stunt casting going on. I can't decide if I should see it now before she joins or later in the summer.

Loving this casting choice. I'm a RPDR fan and Bianca has always been my favourite. I was going to book a show for 6th May as it's Bank Holiday Monday so I think this will have to be the one now!

I'd love to see her, it's great casting. Love Bianca, she's my fave. The problem is the show has a theme now that i don't think i can really deal with at the moment. I lost my mum late last year and one of the reasons i've not gone back to the show since is because i don't think i could cope with the Margaret/Jamie songs and arc.
So it's a shame i'll miss her. Maybe i'll pluck up the courage though still.

They must be throwing money at Bianca for this. 8wks in the West End for someone who commands up to $10,000 a night for a performance can’t come cheap.

I wanted to go back and see Layton, but this certainly tipped me over the edge. Add int he fact that i managed to find a performance with enough of my favourite bargain back row stalls tickets for all my pals, i'm a very happy bunny this morning.

With Michelle Visage aparantly having first refusal for Miss Hedge if the show ever makes it to Broadway, this casting of Bianca makes me wonder if it’s almost a tester for Broadway too.
Throw in a Broadway name for Margaret, open in a modest sized theatre and build some awards buzz - I can see it happening.

I do not know who Bianca as but what's not to love about a drag queen. Several people on here are excited about the casting so I'll go along with that. Seeing it end of May so looks like I'll get Bianca and Faye.

Well, I’m sure I’ll be in the minority here and that’s fine. But I don’t like the fact that this is turning into Chicago MkII. The latest West End stunt casting opportunity.
Dont get me wrong I like Bianca as much as the next RDR fan but this is not right for her. The character is supposed to be a rough, northern drag act. She knows nothing about this. As was the case with Visage trying (not very hard) to do northern England it detracts from the roots of this production in a way I really don’t like.
I saw it at the Crucible when it was honest and and heartfelt and heartbreaking and now it’s turning into some brash moneyspinner.
Sell out. In every sense of the phrase.

I'm reluctant to agree but I do think that the fact they need to cast names does suggest to me that they don't think it can sell on its name alone which doesn't bode well for the tour.

I completely agree with you, it’s starting to feel very much like Chicago II. One of the biggest charms of this production was it’s Northern roots. I could also go into a spiel about the history of drag (one of my fave subjects but I won’t bore everyone) but the UK Drag Queens came from a very different place and culture than the current Drag Race millennials. Anyway there we are. As ever show BUSINESS and they want to make money. Must confess I can’t see this touring.

There's still a lot of tickets left for Bianca's first performance, I thought it would have sold out very quickly.

I think an interesting discussion to be had is, if Bianca's fans are all gonna flock to her arena tour in their thousands, do they really wanna sit through a two and a half musical they maybe don't care about, or just wait to see her on tour? It's different with Michelle because we don't get the chance to see her often.

But on the plus side it’ll be good to see Jerry Springer & Cuba Gooding Jr back on stage again, especially dragged up.
