I would imagine Carolyn as either Miss Hedge or Margaret and then Jenny as standby. I fully imagine this is all wrong, but I’ll put it out there just in case it ends up being true and I can say I guessed it first haha. |

Like I said earlier, to my knowledge (at least it was on Thursday) - Denise Van Outen is Miss Hedge. Although there was a confusion in her audition and she thought she was going up for Margaret but that’s not what the producers were offering.

Guess the rumour about Beverley Knight playing the mum is no longer true then? Shame as that would’ve been amazing, she would’ve been really good in that role! Can definitely see her singing those songs brilliantly

Wish the rumours were true as I originally heard it from a few people like in September. Maybe at a later date? You say they would’ve announced it, but DVO hasn’t been announced which is late if she’s supposed to start in a few weeks at cast change? It makes me wonder tho, Michelle Visage was the type of casting that would MAKE someone go to see the show, she has a big audience (that links with the type of show) and it is her west end debut, she probably won’t do another west end show anytime soon. That makes people come to the show; whether they’ve seen it already or had no original interest in it. Would the same appeal apply for Shane Richie and DVO? To me, that casting seems more the type to be like “oh we’re already going to see it, this casting is just a bonus” |

I do like the show but I think the fact they’ve had to cast names for certain roles does suggest the producers aren’t confident the show can sell just on its own

I heard the Denise Van Outen rumours for Miss Hedge too from reliable sources, so I'm intrigued to see how this one turns out.
I'm surprised we've heard absolutely nothing on the casting considering we are only a couple of weeks from cast change. If it's not announced by Baz this coming Thursday if accept it's not Denise because she is a name so that was presumably be announced prior to her joining the show.
