Okay I managed to find the section of the webpage where it says Elaine Paige and I pressed on the previous/next buttons, which loaded other random celebrity/theatre names (Gok Wan, Jemima Rooper, David Morrisey, Courtney Act, and more) and then I checked what the title of that bit of the website is and it’s “seen at Jamie” so it was just that Elaine was at the show at some point as were all those other names so no Elaine playing the “mother” anytime soon!

Luke Bayer has confirmed he will depart the show January 26th, so his final alternate show will be January 23rd, with his contract and ending on the 26th. Kinda gutted, not gonna lie, but I'm sure it's not the last we will see of him!
I have heard murmurings that Jordan Cunningham will be the new Jamie Alternate, which is why he has been bumped up to Understudy Jamie.

There are probably some attempts to make this look like a plausible real family on stage (as opposed to complete ethnicity blind casting). That decision makes sense to me. |
