I didn’t realise Shekinah was only there until October but she’s definitely joining at some point during August (covering Aragon & Cleves), she confirmed it herself on insta. From what I understand she’s going into Six once Grace leaves so they won’t be short/can still call on Collett to cover if needs be. Would make sense if she joins the tour cast afterwards? Surely they would just have brought one of the new queens (who’re due to start in oct) in a couple months early rather than have a complete new person in for less than two months? Seems a very short contract if that is the case though.

Is there any tips for Rush Tickets with Six? I have tried so many times, but as soon at it hits 10am, I seem to never stand a chance haha! Am I being optimistic to think that I'll ever get tickets that way, or should I just bite the bullet and book in advance? Also any ideas/thoughts on who might be in the tour cast? What are people’s thoughts on cast members asking people to try rush tickets for them? Seems to me that this then causes multiple people to secure/hold rush tickets stopping others when they probably wouldn’t have bought the tickets. Seen this a few times recently.

Honestly, I think that is something the company manager should sort right now. I always thought that if cast members wanted tickets (and were not just buying them in the normal way) they went via the company manager and box office. This just seems wrong to me. I would normally agree, but it looks like rush is the only way anyone can get tickets once it's sold out, doubt the producers are holding many (if any) tickets.

Fair point. My feeling, though is that even without production holds, the company manager should be saying, "family hold back" and not have the cast screw over the public in this way. To me it looks very bad indeed, cast using their hold over fans to obtain tickets. That's no different to touts bullying box office people in my mind. Not quite the same thing, but a while ago I did the Book of Mormon in person lottery quite a few times, and there were often cast members taking part. They always seemed to win, too. Maybe all the house seats had been used up, but it did seem to decrease the odds of the pubic winning seats.

I think it would be cool if they did a reveal of all the casts together, in costume, doing a couple of numbers. Sort of West End Live style, with multiple queens and costumes and a big dance routine.

They had one entry per person which is fair. I’m totally on the same page as TheatreMonkey about Six though. It’s a cast member having multiple fans attempting to get them tickets that seems a bit unfair to me. The tweet that I saw recently had 10 people saying that they would try and get tickets for them and that seems not quite right.

As part of my daughters’ summer theatre school she was very excited to do a skype Q and A with the new alternates yesterday....sounded fascinating. So pleased that this wonderful show is picking up worldwide attention from humble beginnings. We are back to see it in late August.

So what is the August 31 save the date tweet really about? I would assume that its maybe tour cast announcements? I would also assume this has something do with all of the purple crowns that were shared! Excited to see what it is though!

The crown photos were shared to hype the Broadway announcement, this seems like a London/UK specific thing...

I think it has to be more than an announcement, or it wouldn't say London. If it was just a reveal of eg tour cast names, there wouldn't be a place. It's obviously something in person. It also says "for the queendom" so it seems to be about doing something for the fans. I think some kind of performance.

I wish they would move the show to somewhere like The Duchess or The Vaudeville.

I wish they would move the show to somewhere like The Duchess or The Vaudeville. Surprised this hasn’t happened already. Would be very easy to move the tickets over already booked to a new venue.

Interesting article in Theatremania, the writer isnt optimistic the show will succeed on Broadway.

I could imagine if a cast member tweeted they needed tickets then fans would say they would enter the lottery for them. The fans might do this out of kindness but also it could create the situation whereby the fans do it to get closer to a cast member or have them in their debt. i've often heard cast members say to fans they can get them tickets but never this way around. How cast allocations work must vary but I'd figure if an understudy was on or a cast member had a lot of family visiting they would ask other cast members if they could use their allocation etc if they got a discount or tickets were limited.

Unless you are in the Six fan groups it seems very hard to get a rush ticket.
They should restrict it in some way so non regulars are given the opportunity to come along as well.
It shouldn't be a closed shop, the regulars shouldn't pretty much dictate who gets the tickets, as seems to be the case now. The show (and cast) are not their personal property.

I have no problem at all with cast members getting fans to get tickets for them. Partly as I'm never going to be wanting rush tickets for myself. And partly because it seems fair payback for how much effort the cast have to put in being nice to fans who can often be, quite frankly, very demanding.

^The show is massively popular so Rush tickets will be very difficult to get.Probably best to book well in advance via the Arts Theatres’ site. Agree that the fans groups are an incredibly tight-knit and supportive community and are looking out for each other.Provided they are not breaking any laws with their dedicated and determined ‘tactics’,not sure what can be done?

Given that Scrawny little SiX obsessives, calling themselves fans, greedily cheating their way to beat other genuine potential theatre goers in the TodayTix rush cheat* seem to actually have a positive rappour with the cast etc, I'm starting to consider this less a piece of Musical Theatre and more an elitist pop concert for sheltered individuals.
*which involves changing the phone/device time to trick TT into allowing a step forward in the rush process.

Although the cast are in a difficult position. They're nice to everyone who stage doors, really appreciate their fans (I'm mainly thinking of Vicki who's my favourite, she posts pictures with fans all the time on her Instagram stories) They can't really say "Oh God, not you again!"even if they're thinking it. I'm hoping they don't know about (and condone) this cheat. Actually if they did, they could always try for their own rush tickets!

I've just shocked myself by looking at Twitter and some of the cast are following some of kids offering cheated tickets out. In some instances cast are getting the kids to get tickets for them!

Finally caught this last week with my brother.
Good fun and creative what they have done, but deffo not a repeat visit type show for me - rather, glad to have ticked it off.
And the #fangirls were indeed in and slightly tedious with the preemptive cheering and laughing a split second before the punchline is delivered (much like the Wicked ones) Are the rush/cheaper tickets at the back? Was basically the back 4/5 rows that were on a different planet to the rest of the theatre.
Also, as I remembered from Murder Ballad the Arts Theatre is the WORST in the West End. The toilets in particular were absolutely disgusting. Needs knocking down and starting again. God knows what the backstage areas for the actors are like....
