confused- from Instagram stories both Aimie and Natalie are at the show but in the audience watching and cheering- why did they need emergency cover, are they both on vocal rest?

The alternate situation confuses me so much, I thought each actress had specific roles they covered but it seems to change all the time! (Not complaining all the queens are amazing) |

Natalie has an ear infection (which means she can't do the show as the show requires in-ear monitors) and I believe today is Aimie's scheduled day off, this week had 10 shows of Six so each got two shows off opposed to one. However as both are fit and healthy they're in the building as standbys. (Natalie has been doing the show without her monitors but it's impractical)
All of the alternates cover all Six of the roles, like a swing and alternate for their first covers. The current situation is
Aragon - Grace, Courtney, Vicki
Boleyn - Vicki, Grace, Courtney
Seymour - Courtney, Grace, Vicki
Cleves - Vicki, Courtney, Grace
Howard - Grace, Vicki, Courtney
Parr - Courtney, Vicki, Grace

(Not complaining all the queens are amazing) They have kind of a priority system for the alternates- so in theory all three of them know all six parts and could cover any, but have 1st/2nd/3rd covers each. I believe it goes- Aragon: Grace, Courtney, Vicki Boleyn: Vicki, Grace, Courtney Seymour: Courtney, Grace, Vicki Cleves: Vicki, Courtney, Grace Howard: Grace, Vicki, Courtney Parr: Courtney, Vicki, Grace So in theory for example Vicki could cover Aragon and Seymour but would only go on if the other two alternates were both out. Are the scheduled shows off a legal thing? Seems like it would be easier to just have Aimie go on, switch the alternates around and then give Aimie another show off next week rather than call someone back into the show that has never done it in its current version. |

Well I have to say that was quite an experience! My first time seeing the show so happened to be when four of the shows SiX principles were replaced by alternates one of whom (Genesis)was bought in only this morning after a year of last doing the show so knew none of the new staging or choreography, which resulted in her sitting on a chair for most of the show at the side of the stage! 😂
As regards to the three regular alternates on today you would never know if you didn’t know they were alternates, each girl was amazing.
And whilst it was a little weird for Genesis to be sitting the show out on a chair like she was injured, what she lacked in knowing the steps she made up for vocally and in sass and attitude.
Maybe not the perfect way to see the show for your first time but I absolutely loved it nonetheless, and couldn’t help but feel part of something quite special, witnessing an impromptu returning Queen like that. Can’t wait to book again to see what combination I get next time! xx

Natalie is on for tonight's show because after doing nine incredibly energetic shows for at least two different queens. Courtney is exhausted. So they were right to have her in the building.
Every Queen gets a show off each week legally, but due to this week having an extra show (school holidays?) They've all been given two. So Aimie took both hers on a two show day to get a whole day off. However I'm not sure how it works because Jaye'J (Aragon) has ended up doing all 10 shows this week due to everyone else being off. So maybe Aimie felt like she needed her shows off, whereas Jaye'J chose to not have her shows off because she feels perfectly fine?

The way I’m choosing to see it is it was a far better option than cancelling the shows, plus it was nice to hear the Cleves that’s on the studio album. |

I was saying this to a friend today, if I had to see an alternate for any of the roles, I think it would be for Alexia or Millie so it's great to see, especially as its the one who sang on the album!  |

I'm heading to the show for the 2nd time on Thursday evening. First time i had full cast apart from Grace as Howard. That was back when she was the only swing. Intrigued to see which combo i get this time now they plat around with it a little more.

The clip of "Six" was pretty funny. After Aragon's verse, she just walked to the side of the stage, causing Aimie to look at her and wave. |

Yeah, the MegaSix is more improvising as demonstrated really well by crazy Millie!  That girl just goes for it and is in a whole world of her own during it! It's actually very amusing to watch! |

Courtney went off ill and swapped with Natalie for standing by in the building and I've been told Jaye'J had a nosebleed during Get Down, so as if Genesis wouldn't have been stressed enough during her song, one of her cast mates would have ran off bleeding. It's not like any of the girls are really off stage at all during the show to quietly go off with a nosebleed.
