Anyone else seeing this ? Somewhat improbably it got a 5* review in the Standard. I'm a bit averse to this venue due to their cripplingly uncomfortable seats but this runs only 90 minutes so I'm giving it a go. Their ticket prices are very high now too for what is essentially a small fringe venue.

Their ticket prices are very high now too for what is essentially a small fringe venue. If it makes you feel better, the cast, crew and creatives are guaranteed to be paid at least the minimum wage.

Good news - since the last time I was there they've torn out their cripplingly uncomfortable seats and replaced them with excellent new ones with good legroom.
This production is very good. Well acted and directed. Most surprising for me was the adaptation by Howard Brenton which sticks closely to the original, has a very light touch, and is very theatrical in a good way, for example by interspersing moments of complete silence to control the pace. Recommended. 4*
