Being announced tomorrow lunchtime I believe? Straight after the Oscar ceremony! The optimum moment for minimum press coverage!

Well if we are going by guesses... Kinky and Gypsy will get the most nominations is my guess, with BILB being the Made in Dagenham of this year, getting two or three noms, Mrs. Henderson getting about four or five. That is my guess, for the musicals anyway!

Shame the society doesn't do a long list, I wonder what is up for selection.

I do wonder who will take the 4th slot in Supporting Actress in a Musical; assuming Emma Williams, Lara Pulver and Amy Lennox are locks for a nomination of course.
Does Lauren Samuels have a chance? Gemma Sutton for Gypsy maybe? Is Beverley Knight as Grizabella eligible?

Think Beverley is elegible.
This would be easier if they, the society publish a long list of all show that are eligible, but they can't because the society are as consistent as custard and make and stretch the rules to suit themselves.

?? Shows that have had at least 30 performances in a SOLT venue, for most of 'em (apart from affiliate venues, which is still a set bunch of theatres, and I freely confess to knowing nothing about opera or dance), doesn't sound that unpredictably flexible to me.

I thought it was shows that have at least 30 performances planned? Not 30 performances performed before the nominations? If Mrs. Henderson or Nell Gwynn gets nominated, I suppose we will know the answer to that haha

There should be a cut-off date, otherwise the people making the decisions won't have a chance to see the shows in question before casting votes.

Its very confusing, I always compare to Beautiful last year... it was nominated, but it had not performed 30 performances by the time of announcement as far as I am aware... it opened around the same time as Nell and Mrs. Henderson. We shall see...
I hope the live stream is happening again, anyone have a link?

I mean, I guess there's no reason why a show needs to have been seen by all concerned parties by the time of the nominations, as long as they see it before casting their votes. Sorry, don't think I was very clear about that.

Don't be silly, no need to apologise! To be completely honest, the rules about the Oliviers seem to change on a yearly basis so god knows what will be nominated haha

What time's the announcement? Announcement is by Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton (announcing her own nomination!) at 12 noon today... usually a live stream is done on YouTube, Oliviers website and other places.

Feel so sorry for Gugu M-R and especially Amanda Lawrence - robbed! (Yes I know the Globe doesn't count).

Can Rylance do an Olivier/Oscar double then? I'd like him too. (though I'd also like Lester to win)
