I'm still not sure about this but always wanted to see SRB onstage. No way I;m paying those prices though, either TodayTix or a visit to a half price booth will be in order.

talkingheads If you want to see SRB, get thee to the Almeida Maybe Shakespeare is not for you, but you will be able to see his acting skills up close and for half the price of the West End Lehman.

I duly looked for tickets yesterday and was greeted with a fairly hostile seat map in terms of pricing. The front row appeared to not be on sale so I’m presuming day seats will be available. In a just world, fairly hostile seat maps would be banished and legroom always would be plentiful. Alas ... |

"Ambitious" is a very polite way of putting it, Monkey! I've booked an £18.00 seat for July, to keep the cost down as much as possible. Not happy about the back row of "The Gods", when I know at other theatres I could get side of the front rows in the upper circles for simlar prices  ! |

So glad I've already seen it from front row at the NT. I would like to see it again but I am not paying those prices. I am sure there will be a lot of offers.

Same here. Saw it twice at the Nash for much less.
Wouldn't mind seeing it again but not a those prices.

Such a shame to have a successful play go out with a whimper in a half-empty theatre because of stupid pricing. I was tempted to see it again but will definitely wait for discounts.

Genuine question as I don't really study ticket price bands but aren't those just normal prices for London's glitzy West End nowadays? Are they really higher than normal?
And there are tickets for £18 so it's not like there aren't cheap tickets on offer.

Dunno, I never go, it's too expensive  Those £18 tickets will be so bad that you might as well stand on the other side of the road and try to see what's going on, I suspect. It seems ambitious pricing for something that isn't Hamilton. |

They've been game about letting the back row of the stalls go for £18, but otherwise @abby is right. The back upper circle is at least a fairly clear view, but compared to what £18 got you at the Lyttelton, it's not really a compensation. Well I guess sometimes you get what you pay for. After all, theatres ain't charities.  |

Those prices are a bargain compared to what the Park Avenue Armory in New York is charging for the Lehman Trilogy. I bought my ticket back in September, and I paid $125 (a little less than £100) for a seat in the middle of Row K. That's considered "Zone A", which is the second-priciest range (the ranges are Premium, Zone A, Zone B, and Zone C).
Today I received a blast email from the Park Avenue Armory, saying that seats for the whole engagement are "extremely limited", and encouraging people who haven't bought tickets yet to do so right away. Out of curiosity, I looked at what's available for the date of my performance, and I was amazed to see that Zone A tickets now cost $225 (and the only available seats in Zone A are way off to the side, e.g., seat numbers in the 40's in rows that go consecutively from 1 to 46). "Premium" seats are going (or not) for $300. Talk about dynamic pricing.
Apologies if this belongs on the International board, but I didn't see a thread about the Lehman Trilogy on that board, and this seemed somewhat related to concerns about ticket pricing that people have raised on this thread.

I saw this last night at the Piccadilly and thought it was amazing... the combination of story, staging and above all, acting made this thrilling. I do think it's overlong (3+ hours) and started dragging in the middle. I think they could actually skip from the end of the first generation to the events triggering the end of the company.
But the acting!!! Each of the three actors plays multiple characters, flickering from one to another with an upturned collar here or a change of posture there. Simply wonderful to watch.

I was there as well. Did you catch the group berating staff in the foyer becasue they'd turned up expecting to see the play (for £7) .. honestly! Sam Mendes got praise heaped high by all concerned.

londonpostie , yes, walked past them, the usher was being professional explaining that the tickets referenced AG, BM, SRB on the ...., how they could think it was for a performance was unbelievable, also found it strange that even though the tickets had allocated seats when we got in the ushers said it was unallocated, maybe the NT and ATG sold the same seats and was surprised there was not more of a kerfuffle when you found someone in ‘your’ seat. Fortunately when I got home tonight (went on to the Barbican for Knight of the Burning Pestle) there were a couple of Friday Rush tickets left for next Saturday’s matinee so seeing at again sooner than expected.
