Yay a restoration comedy in the West End, lets hope they don't mess with it.
The Way of the World runs 29th March to 26th May

Oh nice, also including the lovely James Norton. Hmm The York Realist, have I forgiven Peter Gill for the torture that was 'A Provincial Life'....seems I haven't.

Haven't gone to the Donmar for an age but think I'll be booking for all of them.
Love The York Realist and the other two sound good as well.

I'm booking for all of it I think. It's like Josie Rourke has found my buttons and she's pushing 'em at once.
Hottie James Norton. Tick. A play about a couple of attractive gayers. Tick. Fab actress in bawdy comedy. Tick.
Boom.

If they stage it as usual Ben Batt should be topless and washing himself at the start of the York Realist so you may want to go front row for that as well Ryan!

I don't know if they have a scheme as such right now, I just bought £10 tickets for Knives In Hens and Lady From The Sea on the day tickets went on sale. Side back row of the circle, but it's not exactly miles away from the stage.

I don't quite know how it works, because I don't qualify, but 25 year olds and under can attend for free under the Young & Free scheme.

Maybe an admin could correct the spelling of the title? It's Belleville.

I finished reading Belleville this morning (before the cast was announced). I will be VERY interested to see if it can be brought to life on the stage as it is an odd very inconsequential play. Although it got good reviews in the States and has a good cast here so what do I know?

I missed out on tickets for this when they first went on sale but a fair few dates suddenly seem to have a handful of tickets available on the Donmar website if anyone else was in the same boat! Snapped up the centre of row A for a Saturday matinee in January. Would have been rude not to!

Saw the first preview tonight. It was VERY strong for being a first performance. Imogen Poots is absolutely exceptional already. Norton is a little less certain, but he will get there. Great set, wonderful lighting, usual problematic blocking with sightlines from the circle though.
The play itself I loved, thought it was smart and tense and unsettling. Be interested to see if the critics take to it or if they find it "too American".
