Surprised this is the very first UK Tour. Is it ? I am sure the show was on in Blackpool a couple of years ago.

It's the first proper uk tour. Previously the international tour did one stop a year in a uk city.

Hi, I am new to this forum and wanted to share my excitement at the casting of Ms Sharon Sexton and Mr Rob Fowler in the new Mamma Mia tour starting in Edinburgh on 19 September. I had the pleasure of seeing them, over and over, recently in Bat out of Hell at both the Coliseum and Dominion theatre. These two together are possibly the most dynamic pairing i have ever seen on stage. The chemistry and “utter unity” is nothing short of mesmerizing. Ok you can tell I’m a little be fond of them.
Wondering if if anyone is planning on catching the tour.

Great news for both, (but not for those who wanted Sharon for Heidi Hansen). Discovered that an old friend is playing one of the dads too so another reason to try and see it this go around.

I shall be taking Young to see this- I’m going to see which venue is doable in a day trip for us
I noticed there was an alternate Donna- I’ve not actually seen the stage show so wondered if the alternative would have set shows?

As I have a serious weakness for Mamma Mia! and not being able to get to the 20th Anniversary show, this announcement and casting is great news. Having just had a quick look on the tour website I hope there is a stop somewhere in the NW. If not a day trip to BIrmingham is getting sorted out.

Hi mummabat, yes it's wonderful news, I have tickets to the opening night in Edinburgh Hi, We would love to have done opening night as we have got to know Sharon and Rob quite well through Bat but alas work gets in the way. We are very much hoping to get up for the first Saturday. We are in a London. Go see them at the stage door after. They absolutely love seeing their fans. 🦇 going to have to find an appropriate emoji for Mamma Mia now? 🤔

Yes I saw there was an alternate. Sharon never had one for 🦇 and she was hardly ever off. I guess a tour will be even more demanding so probably needed. Alternates normally have set days but we will have to see.

Was very happy with the news too. Good for them to have landed such good parts and to be able to keep performing together. As it's an international tour, I hope it might turn up here (I'm sure Rob would love to perform for his many German fans). If not, I'll try and catch it somewhere in the UK next spring.
