Went to see this show today. Thought Charlie carried it almost single handedly at times - overall, though, a strong show with a strong cast but I just adored Charlie. He truly deserves every award coming his way. If you looked for a definition of the word 'star' I think his face would be in almost every dictionary. Proverbially of course. Interview wuth Charlie on the Graham Norton R2 show a couple of weeks ago www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04ph4ys

My mother is loving it tonight (yes, I'm spending valentines with my mother....) Don't worry, Theatreboard welcomes the LGBTQI community (lesbian gay bisexual transgender queer incestuous).

Saw the show this afternoon with full cast from what I can tell
Charlie Stemp is a STAR. The Olivier is in the bag as far as I'm concerned - he was outstanding! I always get so jealous at people that can dance but he takes it to another level!
Emma Williams I LOVED too. She was absolutely beautiful, and really made me choke up at the end.
Choreography superb, and I really like what Stiles and Drewe have done with the score. Only thing overall that annoyed me, and I still can't work out why it did, was riding on and off on the motorcylcle at the end! It infuriated me for no apparent reason!

A friend of mine who sat in the balcony slips for a recent midweek matinee took a picture from her seat and all four levels were open and all four looked pretty much full! Very pleased thisnshow is finding its audience and continuing to run,

See on the one hand I would love to see understudies in some of the roles, but Charlie has a brilliant performance record with this show, which is amazing considering how tough the role is physically and he is brilliant so I don't know if I would want to see his understudy as amazing as they are. And Emma Williams, is, well, Emma Williams.... I'm good with seeing her at every performance.

Charlie is off the last week in June and the first week in July so if you succumb to temptation to see someone else in the role that's the time to head to the Noel Coward. Normally I would agree with you about Emma Williams but she has a bit of a thankless task in this. As long as Charlie, Devon and Bethany Huckle are on when I see the show again, then I'll have more than just a touch of happiness!

The one thing the show is missing is a good solo for her. There's lots going on for her character and she must feel very conflicted and a whole range of emotions she could sing nicely about. They could just re-write "The man behind the mask" from Zorro and get her to sing that again. That'd do. Or, as the show cheerfully rips off Salad Days, they could stick in "I sit in the sun" (probably out of copyright by now anyway). I may have to start a petition...

Maybe even a Reprise of Belive in Yourself solo toward theend of the show? Once her family situation has gone to sh*t, so she has to go out and make it on her own?

In London for the day and didn't win the Dreamgirls lottery so booked this instead. Scored row F 10-11 for £39.50 each for my boyfriend and I on Today Tix last minute. I think they're premium seats? Or at least should have £80 each judging from their actual website so quite the bargain! Super excited, heard great things from a few friends.

They could put it in a different key, slow it down a bit... Make it nice and thoughtful, tears in the middle building to a determined end and a nice high note held for ages... I feel a letter to Cameron coming on!

I sat in the back row of the Upper Circle my first time and it was an amazing view! You don't miss a thing that happens. You can't see the Orchestra who are above the stage but you wouldn't normally in a musical anyway. But the whole stsge is in view, you get to see the whole way the stage works (revolves!) and reaply get to appreciate the amazing choreography from here! And you can still see facial expressions perfectly. I have hd a few friends who have sat in the Stalls and then the Dress or Upper on return viewjngs and they have said they much prefer sitting in the Dress or Upper as you get to really appreciate the show as a whole, as the choreography in itself is such a star of the show! Hope this helps, and enjoy the show! It is in my top three favourites of 2016!

I'd avoid the balcony though. View from upper circle is good.

If you are looking to go midweek they usually have rear stalls seats available on TKTS for £25, and the view from there is great.

we will be in london in Aprill and go in this day. Oryginal we have plan "hunt" for potter tickets but i nimax almost always are for 199 but lately in day we prefer to go it's only 250 pounds ticket so we decided to go to the other play. Since i've ticket to R&Gat old vic we choose HoS.
how long do you need to be to pick up a ticket at the box office. 1 hour is sufficient?
Novello Theatre has a cloakroom ? It's if there is a possibility to leave luggage (medium size) or is better to leave in a locker at the train station

Does anyone have any experience of the Lastminute £14.50 offer? Are they really in the balcony for Wednesday matinees or do they close it and move you down to rear stalls/circle?

Gallery was closed last Thursday evening but I guess it depends on a day to day basis (all other levels open and looked pretty full!) Matinees are probably quite busy, indeed they are dropping an evening performance and adding a matinee soon.

I had a look on the official website about 5pm today - top 2 levels closed, back row dress £12.50 and next row £25, so definitely worth keeping an eye on too!

By the looks of it, they now do Souvenir Brochures. Walked past a woman in London last night and she had a big glossy Half a Sixpence brochure. Wasn't the same size as the programme and the programme that I got in January at least wasn't glossy.

Oh and I don't know if anyone has seen, but:
Charlie Stemp will not be performing on the following dates, inclusive:
30th March - 1st April 2017 24th April - 29th April 2017 26th June - 1st July 2017 14th August - 19th August 2017
I mean, he deserves these dates off, especially as he didn't miss a show in Chicester and has only missed one performance in London. Considering the demand of the role, that is damn impressive!
EDIT: tell a lie, he has had to miss the last three performances due to illness.
