My bet would be the Aldwych after Beautiful.

The London page of the official website says it's coming in January, also said by Harvey and Gary - which suggests to me, although I know producers sometimes advertise like this to get some interest when nothing is actually official, that it will come and they have a theatre. Another possibility is the Aldwych, if Beautiful closed at the end of its booking period (November?).

My bet would be the Aldwych after Beautiful. Funnily enough, the Aldwych did spring to mind for me. I don't know how well Beautiful is still selling but it never struck me as a musical that would stick around for years but perhaps that's only because it has never appealed to me. The Aldwych would be a good size.

Well both Waitress and Finding Neverland are eying up the West End, they are in Nederlander theatres on Broadway so if they want to stick to Nederlander theatres here, the options are Aldwych, Dominion or Adelphi.
I can't imagine Kinky Boots giving it up quite yet.
If An American in Paris doesn't sell well (as I suspect it may not) then the Dominion is an option but it is a huge theatre and I doubt, much as I would like it too, that Finding Neverland could sustain a theatre of that size for that long.
Aldwych I never imagined would run too long. I could see it leaving in the not too distant future, in which case I would assume they would bring in Finding Neverland first.

Just a further possibility, and this might be completely unrealistic for the logistics of wing space and stage size etc, but what about the Noel Coward? I have a vague recollection that it was said somewhere, possibly a radio interview with Graham Norton that the US touring version will be more economical and it will be that version coming to London - so they could be looking for a smaller theatre. Possibly a limited run of Sixpence till January and then Neverland?

But that was before everyone went on about how big the production was.

I can't see An American In Paris performing well here at all but like you would hope Finding Neverland doesn't take the Dominion as it would definitely not sell out that huge space. I think out of those three theatres, logically it would be the Aldwych. I suppose it's just a waiting game until someone decides to officially announce the theatre and cast.

[ I've read January flying around a lot, but it could be delayed and it wouldn't be surprising if they were waiting on a theatre like the Aldwych, which is booking Beautiful till February.

Seeing as the Broadway run has closed today, is it likely that maybe this week or so they'll officially announce some more information about the London production i.e theatre, on-sale dates, cast maybe? Surely if it's looking to open in January 2017 it should be anytime soon otherwise tickets will be quite hard to sell (unless they have a big STAR name)!

If it does open in Jan, then Gary Barlow will have two shows on the WE! Be interesting to see what one does better (I personally hope it's The Girls)

Be interesting to see what one does better (I personally hope it's The Girls) I'd rather it be Finding Neverland, but only because I love the music and the story is one of my favourites. Neither are going to be dead certian successes, by any stretch of the imagination I don't think.

Despite mentioning the US tour several times during the final curtain call speeches, disappointingly there wasn't even a dickie bird about the London run...

Maybe they only mentioned the US tour as it's a Broadway audience and they are trying to sell the show to Americans, probably thinking they won't be bothered or not if it goes to London as they won't be going to buy tickets.

I'm hoping the same as you, too Zak. I love this show, and I for one cannot wait to see this get a chance with British audiences. I fully intend on seeing this multiple times!

It seems to me they've made far to much fuss with the website, twitter, seemingly announcing the casting of Boe and Grammar as well as playing a song from the musical at the Queen's Birthday for this not to go ahead now.

From watching that curtain call video it doesn't look like they'll need a massive stage. Harold Pinter maybe?

I think that rumour was more wishful thinking from some posters than anything. Although I'm really not sure where else it might fit into.

I had assumed it would go into the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, but now that 42nd Street is in there I was thinking maybe the Palladium? That's a big stage and as far as I'm aware is free from January.

They'd be stupid to go to the Palladium. It wouldn't last very long at all there - way too big a theatre

The trouble is, alot of shows are being a tad stupid in all honesty. 42nd Street are insane to go to the Drury Lane, I have a feeling The Girls should of gone to a different theatre too, possibly the Noel Coward.

I thought that they might do OK in the Palladium if they push it as a family show. If the plot follows that of the movie, then it's definitely not "Peter Pan: The Musical", but just having the word Neverland in the title will surely bring in masses of families. That's partly how charlie managed to do so well in Drury Lane (although I did think that production was magnificent regardless of whether it was meant to be for kids)

Two suggestions, probably a bit silly, but would the Vaudeville or Apollo be too small? I can't think of any mid-size houses that are going to be available unless there are some sudden closures.
