See, I'm curious about this song. As great as song as it is, working on the premise that the lyrics of the songs selected actually move the story forward- I'm curious as to how they're gonna shoehorn this one in. I's clearly about someone called Fernando who at some point was at war. So unless there's a character being introduced called Fernando, or Frenando is someone being referred to in memory, again I ask, how are they gonna shoehorn it in? Guess time will tell. Cher's voice is do distinctive, isn't it? Having had a quick look on wiki there is a character called Fernando Cienfuegos played by Andy Garcia. I wonder if he is or was a love interest for Cher’s character. Like you, I’m really curious on how the producers are going to get this song in based on the subject matter. I can understand why it got ditched for the stage show as there wasn’t anywhere to naturally put it. Though I thought the nod to the song in the stage show was a nice touch.

I wonder if we'll get Angeleyes as the final song released before the film is out.

Why haven’t they released a song with Brosnan singing yet?!

Cher and Christine Baranski are on The Graham Norton Show tonight.
Has a complete song list been published yet for the new film?

Cher and Christine Baranski are on The Graham Norton Show tonight. Has a complete song list been published yet for the new film? Having had a quick look, there doesn’t appear to be a complete list. The best I’ve found is taken from an online article from the Sun. Waterloo, from Waterloo (1974) Mamma Mia, from ABBA (1975) When I Kissed the Teacher, from Arrival (1976) Dancing Queen, from Arrival (1976) Thank You for the Music, from ABBA: The Album (1977) I Wonder (Departure), from ABBA: The Album (1977) Angeleyes, from Voulez-Vous (1979) I Have a Dream, from Voulez-Vous (1979) Kisses of Fire, from Voulez-Vous (1979) Fernando, non-album single (1976) I hope there are more to come. I’m surprised Knowing Me, Knowing You hasn’t been listed as it’s an absolute classic.

Is it just me or is the CD cover image one of the worst bits of photoshopping ever?
Even Billy K does better than that on his posters...

Could they use some of the songs that are in the stage version of Mamma Mia but not the film? Like What's The Name Of The Game, Under Attack, One of Us and Knowing Me, Knowing You?

Personally I would love for Knowing Me, Knowing You to be in there. It’s a fantastic song and I would be very surprised if it didn’t make the final song selection. Though if you listen carefully to Mamma Mia! The film, it is kind of in there at the end when Sophie walks down the aisle, though it is a very slow instrumental version of the song. With the others you’ve listed I think One of Us and Name of the game have been mooted in interviews I’ve read on the internet. No mention of Under Attack though.

The Name of the Game was filmed but cut from the original film as it features on the original soundtrack.

Oh. And I was hoping for 'The Visitors' or 'The Day Before You Came' to liven things up.

I'm hoping that there will be clips from some of the songs before the film is released next month and that the cast will do these songs justice. Personally, I'm glad that they have used One of Us and Knowing Me, Knowing You from the stage show.

It's a shame that Under Attack isn't included but I like the choices nonetheless.
Bring on the film I say
