Isn't sound often a problem at the RAH? Seems fine for classical music but anything else is pretty dire.
I'm sure some of you will remember Chess In Concert which had absolutely awful sound.

There have also been on at the Royal Albert Hall in London Les Miserables 10th Anniversary Concert in 1995, The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011 and Disney's Broadway Hits in 2016 |

Totally agree on the sound - what a mess!!!! But I presume being a one off concert it's rather difficult to get the equipment needed as well as all the levels correct. Terrible balances, mics not working etc.. Being able to source equipment wouldnt have been an issue. Looks like audio was handled by Delta Sound, which look after audio production for the RAH and the vast majority of its productions. From what I can tell from pictures the main mixing desk was a Digico SD7 - which is pretty much the desk for musicals across the board now. Its more likely to have been lack of rehearsal time etc. |

OK, I spoke to soon. She had a real chance to show off her proper belting that I saw in Wimbledon, and there was none of that really here. Her belting in Wimbledon, chilling even. But I didn't get any of that here.  but she sang it well other than that! |
