Reading the Broadway World forum this seems to be dividing opinions. I'm just hoping its runs until December so I can see it. Thoroughly enjoying the cast album. Likewise - I'm going later in the year, and wanted to catch it.

Good spot on the V&A screening! I've been to a few of these previously and, while they are definitely filmed for the archive and not really for broadcast, it's a lovely way to spend an afternoon, especially if it's something you missed or something you really enjoyed - saw the NT Alchemist a few years ago and it brought back very happy memories!

So I'm planning on heading down to the V & A tomorrow to catch this. If anyone is there, say hello.

Just out of curiosity is this a replica of the version that was done in Almeida or a new concept?

The video showing is an archive of the Almedia production. The Broadway transfer is advertised as direct from London. It's got tweaks to running order but isn't greatly different. Wasn't sure which you were directly referring to.

I thought American Psycho was one of the most brilliant musicals I've ever seen. The cast album confirms that.

So caught this today and I'm so pleased that I did. In this brilliant building myself and approximately 30 other watched this professionally filmed production.
Some nice case ups.
Brough this all flooding back to me. Mostly as I remember it however there was once it that I either don't remember or never acknowledged at the time.
As great as the cast recording it, nothing compared to the visuals to marry it together.
This os one I'd LOVE to have as part of my DVD collection.

The writing was on the walls since it got no Tony nominations. Just shows how ruthless Broadway is compared to the West End since this is the second new show to announce its closing

It's a shame though, I still hold out hope we get to see it in London at some point. It looked great and who doesn't wanna see Benjamin Walker in his tighty whities haha

It looked great and who doesn't wanna see Benjamin Walker in his tighty whities haha It already premiered at the Almeida two and a half years and I doubt after losing their investment on Broadway that they'd bring it over especially when theatres are limited.

It looked great and who doesn't wanna see Benjamin Walker in his tighty whities haha I mean we have already had it in London at the Almeida, but after this almighty flop on Broadway, I wouldn't put any money on a West End run any time soon. Even the Almeida run was a limited 2 months, even though it extended by a week. Though I am no theatrical mogul and stranger things have happened - so you may get your wish!

Poor Rupert Goold
This and Dagenham both flops in the commercial market
I really think he should avoid mainstream ventures
I recall his ENO efforts were widely mocked when he tried staging Turandot
Interestingly he has not directed another opera since

Just shows how ruthless Broadway is compared to the West End since this is the second new show to announce its closing It got two Tony nominations: scenic design and lighting. Both well-deserved. I didn't like the show, but I admired it a great deal. www.tonyawards.com/en_US/nominees/index.html

This is a great shame. It's definitely one of the best productions I've seen in recent years and Walker is sublime in it. He was robbed of a Tony nomination too.

Wow!!
Excited for the Brooklyn revival in 2025
This show really should have moved straight to the west end. It was however - fabulous in NYC and Walker was sensational. Way better than Smith.
