Ayckbourn's play, playing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket March to June. Bill Kenwright producing. No cast announced yet. I had a feeling it was going to be The Chalk Garden but alas.

Hooray, a show I don't need to see! There's been too much interesting stuff announced recently, it's nice to have something dull to avoid.

I don't share your view on this but I know exactly what you mean: since the programming at (for instance) the Almeida and Young Vic got so weird, those venues have saved me much time, money and scheduling stress!

Is this one of his funny ones or dark ones? Is there a difference? The audience will laugh like hyenas no matter how funny, unfunny, warm, or bleak a scenario being painted. (According to my records I have seen this one; as it doesn't stand out in my memory for having an especially sadistic-seeming audience, I assume it comes under the category of "funny".)

Should be lots of comps/discounts for this though, unless Bradley Cooper comes back to TRH.
