Fairly sure the key 3 puppets will remain as they are, but they're look at ways for set etc to be a bit more economical

Just saw this tonight at New Wimbledon Theatre and thought it was amazing. I’ve never seen the movie so wasn’t familiar with the story. Now I look forward forward to watching it.

absolutely loved this at the Lowry this week, and probably for my twenthieth time. I've followed it from the national drum through the revolve, to this slightly trimmed down tour - still got a great, huge cast and the horses and their performances remain magnificent. Of course over the years things evolve, but I missed the staging usually done down stage of the other horse, with Albert stabbing him and the puppeteers standing up and bowing very clearly to the puppet. Always sends shivers down my spine, but here it happened way up stage and no bow that I could discern. Oh but the first appearance of Joey is so thrilling and wonderfully theatrical. This time I did have an ear out for what happens when the horses are not the focus - the comedy officer at the head of act two is tiresome, and Emily's role confusing, and simply Albert is not in act two enough - I'm afraid Fritz is no subsitute. but oh those horses. Breathtaking. First time I've seen it with a female narrator/singer and she was glorious.

Very late to the show here as I'd never seen it, so rectified that with a trip to The Lowry tonight.
I was sat right up in the cheap seats but was still able to see every nuance of Joey's movements.
Truly beautiful, can't believe I waited so long to see it but so glad I did.
