Lily (Nina) seems to have been off for quite a while.

Not surprising given the reports of her voice on here lately. I hope she hasn't damaged it too badly or anything like that.

Lily (Nina) seems to have been off for quite a while. I saw her two weeks ago and vocally she was a massive let down for me considering all I had heard. Not bad, just disappointing.
That said, I hope she is better soon. I recommend everyone see Gabriela Garcia if you get the chance as Nina. I saw her the first time I saw the show and she was brilliant!

Can confirm. She's astonishingly good and makes the role her own. Her voice (and American accent) are second to none.

Sounds like it was virtually a covers run last night, was there anyone left in the ensemble?

Interesting. Gabriela's going on holiday on Wednesday according to her Twitter. For Jocasta to be the only ensemble member, must mean there's a lot of people off at the moment.
Michael Cortez has Tweeted he's got an injured back. Hope he's OK.

Gosh, they're dropping like flies! Hope everyone's okay.
I'd actually forgotten that I'm dragging a couple of friends to this in a fortnight's time. It'll be interesting to see who's on as I saw the full cast last time (though that was back in October!) and thought everyone was fabulous, without exception! They've put together such a wonderful cast that I really don't mind who I see. Lily and Sam were my favourites though, so I'd like for them to be on.

I've heard there were 13 people onstage last night….in a cast of how many?

Please report back. I would love to see him as Usnavi but doubt I'll ever get the chance. Of course I will. This is only my third time seeing the show, and it's my third Usnavi. I saw them in the 'right' order too. I think it'll be my third Vanessa too. I've never known a show where the cast is so different all the time.

I've heard there were 13 people onstage last night….in a cast of how many? There is about 17/18 people in the show every night, so 13 people overall, they must of really been struggling. Especially the big ensemble numbers, I bet 96,000 and the Nightclub/Blackout scene must of been looking pretty dire.

If it gets any worse they'll have to bring in cast members from the Southwark run.
Though for understudy chasers I'd put my money on Sarah Naudi making her debut as Nina this week with Lily off sick and Gabriela going on holiday

Sarah as Nina is something I'd love to see too. She was really good as Vanessa. :-)

It's going to get to the point where Jocasta has to play all of the parts. She understudies most of them anyway!

Saw the show last night and it was actually one of my favourite times seeing it. I thought Cleve was absolutely fantastic as Usnavi, so glad he's getting the opportunity to play the role, and the whole cast, all 13 of them, were electric. I really do think its one of the best ensemble casts in London, they're all so very talented. You can feel from all of them that they're loving and appreciating being able to perform the show every night.
Gabriella Garcia was a revelation as Nina, so much passion, her Breathe gave me goosebumps and Phillipa Stefani was absolutely hilarious as Daniella last night, she grabbed the role by the balls last night. So glad to see Josie Benson back too, Enough is one of my favourite moments of the show.
Jonny Bishop made his debut as Sonny and Ryan Reid was on as Benny - a 3rd cover(!), probably the biggest lead I missed - Joe Aaron Reid has so much charisma it's difficult to emulate and although Ryan was good, I did miss Joe's interpretation.
Bless Jocasta Almgill as well, the opening number was just her dancing for the first chorus and then she was only joined by Sarah Naudi. The Club/Blackout did work with the limited cast but appeared a bit messier than normal. Spin was working double time too, as was Reiss Hinds.
The cast got a huge ovation at the end of the show, one that was truly deserved. Absolutely cracking cast!

Just trying to gather my thoughts.
Such a great cast, all of them. I really liked Ryan Reid as Benny. A bit less cocky than Joe's interpretation. Both great, just different.
Vas as Kevin is much more likeable in the role (which is not a very likeable role to begin with).
Cleve. Wow. So great. There's no way I could pick a favourite Usnavi.
I've seen the current three Vanessas now too and I didn't love Christine tonight I'm afraid. Not bad by any stretch but not the best I've seen.
Norma was playing the role more for laughs for sure, but I really liked her in the role.
Gabriela as Nina was fantastic too. I can see how Lily's voice has the potential to be stunning but it never has been perfect when I've seen her and Gabriela was fantastic.
If Vas goes off sick any time soon, there'll be no one to play Kevin.
Love Josie with short hair.
One part of the awning nearly fell on Norma's head as she was leaving after the bows but Vas saved her.
However, they didn't have any programmes and they didn't use the graffiti table covers which was a shame.

I'm glad they're coping and there seems to be a sort of Blitz spirit, but I can't help but be a little concerned. I've recommended this show to so many people, a couple of them are going this week, and while I don't think anyone should fuss about seing a particular cast member, I don't want them to see a pared down version of the show. The thought of some of that wonderful choreography (which I still think is one of the most influential aspects of the production in terms of atmosphere and energy) being performed by only one or two people just doesn't seem right. I hope everything is OK with the company in general. It seems odd that so many people are off at once.
