Thank you again, @baemax - really helpful. I've never seen Game Of Thrones, herculesmulligan, so can't use that as a guide but will also check the RC trigger warning info.

Don't go turning me in to Gary Owen, but that letter made me cry. (Unless he sends gifts every time he causes tears, in which case tell him right away! )

Has he got enough spare books for us all? Next time I see him I'll let him know he made my friend cry and see what it gets me
But I seriously love his attitude there- the 'My work is meant to challenge BUT I respect that it's difficult' can't fault you Dude.

Ha! I think you're right, it's the hipsters who scare me - I feel like an old blue-stocking invading a student bar. I don't know why the Royal Court has that effect on me, nowhere else does. Sorry to get into this discussion so late, but I was compiling my list of plays that had the most impact on me this year and I realised that I joined this board after seeing this production, so have been catching up on what you all said about it. And wanted to add that I've always felt this way about the RC. I've been attending since I was in my twenties in the 1980s and I always felt a bit scared of the theatre, even when it was spit and sawdust. And I really love the place and the plays I've seen there under all the different ADs: MS-C, Daldry, Rickson, Cooke, Featherstone.

Thrilled that this was nominated for an Olivier. My favourite play of 2017
