I'm sorry for those involved, but having booked to see this first in 2017, which didn't go ahead even without COVID, I'll hesitate to book anything Selladoor are producing again. Seems like they've been sailing close to the wind even before All This. Did Selladoor produce the last one? No that was the producer that did the Wonderland tour, that collapsed towards the end, at the same time as Bring it On was about to start, then that collapsed also! |

I think that's a bit harsh to say, they've had successes with multiple tours of Footloose, then they were associated with Amelie, Falsettos at The Other Palace, and then the most recent Fame tour that was filmed. So I'd hardly say they were 'sailing close to the wind', its been a challenging time for everyone in the industry. Also the 2017 production had nothing to do with Selladoor, as said above. |

12 days of cancelled performances enough to sink a tour and that isn't considered close to the wind? I'd already cut them slack prior to this after sitting through the same godawful Flashdance production mentioned above. Not inclined to cut them any more.

Gutted at this news. Feels like touring theatre might be little other than very safe choices and periods of darkness the way things are going, especially with platforms like the Vault Festival not available for new work to emerge. I'd booked to see Bring It On in Manchester but have now booked for the last weekend of the Southbank run following today's announcement. Why would you hesitate to book anything Selladoor are producing again because the 2017 Bring It On tour, which had nothing to do with them, didn't go ahead? |

Would also like to add their Little Shop of Horrors tour in 2016 to the list of good productions they’d put on, was well cast and reasonably priced with a decent Audrey II puppet. I think they usually come through when you want to produce a small production of a show.

Touring productions have got it hard with different laws in England, Wales, Scotland, NI, Republic of Ireland. Not sure if/when the tour was due to head outside England but with theatre currently not allowed in Scotland and Wales (not sure of NI or Ireland) And no idea when it’ll open up again, there is potentially quite a bit of lost revenue from these venues.

The 13 cancelled shows which must be about 2 weeks worth, may well have been the large straw that broke the camels back. Especially if they know or suspect they will have other completly lost weeks elsewhere.
If producers were making massive margins such that they could lose all the takings from 2 weeks (out of what 20, 30 weeks?) then I'm sure plenty here would be complaining about ticket prices and profitering!

Not going by the ticket sales for Aberdeen, would have been cheaper to tour it round the buyers houses by the looks of it.

The cancellation of this show is really sad. It's such an exuberant show, with bags of energy and an utterly winning triple threat performance from Amber Davies. It was my first show of 2022 last week and I absolutely loved it. I'll admit that the Southwark Playhouse version offered up more convincing teenagers (that was its charm)), but this show gains so much from the trained grace and athleticism of its more experienced choreography and dancing. It is an utterly dazzling and joyous watch, that uplifted me immensely, particularly during Lin Manuel Miranda's full cast rap and chorus numbers. The book is probably a bit by the numbers, as this doesn't have the edgy satire of something like Heathers or Dear Evan Hansen, or even Legally Blonde, but it's Teen Movie/Rocky mashup of clichés actually work, and both Amber Davies and Vanessa Fisher succeed in bringing real conviction to it, and in a small role, Marvin Charles, as Twig, is an absolute hoot! Shows like this make our troubled times infinitely more bearable, so to see our troubled times get the better of it is upsetting. Definitely see this before it closes in 11 days. 4 and a half stars from me.  |

I would probably have liked this show more if the row behind me didn't talk the entire way through. There was absolutely no change between their volume pre-show and during, despite multiple people turning to glare and telling them to be quiet. A bunch of tweens, too young to be there alone, with no sign of a supervising adult. Really ruined it.
I was pleasantly surprised by Amber. Her acting isn't great but her singing is surprisingly good, considering I've always known of her as Jade Davies' little sister who was mad enough to go on Love Island :') I think where this show lets itself down is the shoehorned in romance for Campbell and the guy whose part is so lacklustre I cannot remember his name. Talk of prom comes out of nowhere, that hiking trip has no build up. Campbell has significantly more chemistry with Danielle. I think in general the pacing is off, but the cast has a lot of energy and you really can't fault them on their enthusiasm. Probably a three star show. Nothing special, but a fun night out. As long as you're sat in front of more considerable people than I was.
