Saw this last night, mostly great apart from Louis Smith. I can post the review later.

I found it really disappointing. It only works during the big dance numbers. There are far too many solos with awful lyrics to sit through to get to the good bits.

Enjoyed this tonight. Managed to pick up a front row rush ticket this morning, pretty central (well actually it was Row B and it turned out there was an extra fragmented row in front with only a few chairs and only one taken, the gaps I presume intended as wheelchair spaces, but I had no one in front and a clear view level with the stage).
Louis Smith was away, so the role of Cameron was played by Oliver Adam-Reynolds. He was on stage a lot in different roles, so based on what I've read I presume he was doing an ensemble role as well as Cameron.
Kenedy Small was on as cover Bridget and was excellent.
For me, the highlights were Vanessa Fisher as Danielle and Chloe Pole as Skylar. Fab to see Marvyn Charles, one of my Jamie cast favourites, rapping and showing off his dance moves (and his many tattoos) as well.
This is very much a high energy performance, with a young athletic cast, lots of flipping around and men throwing the women in the air. It uses the large stage in the Queen Elizabeth Hall well.
I saw the Australian premier a few years ago and also the non-professional production at the Southwark Playhouse. In terms of dance and vocal quality, this was very good. I'm still not completely convinced it is a particularly good musical (and I normally like teen high school musicals), but it really comes alive with the LMM numbers.
The theatre wasn't too full and the audience was rather spaced out. Some did move forward during the interval. This one is quite pricey and it's a short show (all done by 9:50pm with a long interview). Rush tickets are good value, but I guess most people don't know about them. This is one of those theatres where my Covid pass was checked, but the ticket wasn't, but at least the people around me were wearing masks.
Don't know if I'll be inspired enough to see this in London again (even though I missed seeing Louis Smith), but it is touring for quite a while so I may catch this down the line.

I saw the Australian tour too! Saw it in Sydney. I absolutely loved it at the time but thinking back there was a lot wrong with it. I’m really looking forward to seeing this tour when it comes to Aberdeen.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tonight and was particularly impressed with Amber Davies. Got rush in row D from TodayTix which was a great place to watch from. The music was very and the whole cast had a fantastic energy.

I was there last night in row D too. Absolutely LOVED this production.
Saw the British Theatre Academy production a few years ago and fell in love with the show then, and have been longing for a professional production ever since. I already knew I would love the songs, but the star of the show really is the choreography - the cast were on fire and so precise. Was pleasantly surprised with Amber, and Louis did a few gymnastics and had a decent voice, though he did look noticeably too old for the role.
A highlight for me was Jal Joshua playing the part of La Cienega - I noticed in the programme they are part of the ballroom scene (and as a huge fan of Pose and Legendary this made me excited), which explained their brilliant floor and hair work! Between this and Cabaret it's been great to see more trans representation on stage recently.
Really surprised there isn't more buzz about this show online - it really deserves it. In my opinion it's head and shoulders above something like Heathers which seems to be much more popular. I looked at booking tickets for Woking to take my niece later in the year and they've barely sold any tickets at all. It was priced crazy high to begin with in London, and it looks like it's been priced very high in Woking too, which I presume is what is putting some people off?

Tour cancelled
The touring production of Bring It On has been cancelled.
Producers Selladoor Worldwide said today: "Cancelling 13 performances has resulted in an overwhelming loss of income for the production during a peak period that would otherwise have provided a vital financial backbone of the tour. This lost income, amounting to hundreds of thousands of pounds, has sadly rendered the remainder of the tour financially unsustainable. It would be irresponsible for us to continue, and we therefore have no option but to cancel the remainder of the tour. We have not taken this decision lightly and have explored every possible alternative to avoid cancellation. Selladoor remain incredibly proud of this fantastically received production and are grateful to everyone who has worked so hard on it, and to all the audiences who have cheered us on. We are only too aware of the impact this will have on our wonderful cast, crew, musicians and creative team – as well as our audiences, venues and suppliers we had been due to work with during the tour. We are heartbroken that we have been forced into this position, but the impact of these cancellations caused by Omicron has left us with no other choice."
Seems a risky finance model to me and I'm sure nothing to do with weak ticket sales - looks to have sold about 50 tickets for a Friday night performance that is still on sale, Edinburgh have already zapped the buy tickets button from the website.

Such a huge shame! Feel so sorry for everyone involved. The rest of the Southbank Centre run is going ahead and the final performance is now 22nd Jan.

I am destined to never see this show. 2nd time a tours been cancelled after I’ve booked to see it. And that doesn’t include the rescheduling of this tour due to covid.

Surprised to hear that 13 performances were propping up the finances for a pretty extensive tour. One of our insiders was saying in another thread that touring shows tend to make their money in 12 or 13 venues and often run at a loss in the rest but just 13 cancelled shows made the walls come tumbling down here? All sounds very tenuous.

All sounds very tenuous. I think unfortunately it hasn't sold as well as they had hoped, which is the same with some lesser well known shows that are currently on sale at the moment. And with cancelled performances and proably the London run possibly not being as visited as much as originally anticipated, it all sort of adds up. Like others of said, people may have been weary to buy tickets for this, in the fear that like the last planned tour (that granted never even got off its feet before it was cancelled), were waiting until it was out on the road, or closer to the time to book, I know I would be the same if I wasn't able to see it during the Southbank run. Its a shame, but with the current climate, it don't blame them!

Really sad, I loved this show. Such amazing energy from the whole cast. Will definitely be seeing it again before it closes next week, and will be encouraging everyone I know to as well.

All sounds very tenuous. Even the biggest shows in London are reducing to a six-show week as ticket sales are pretty bad in the current climate. I imagine for a show like this it's ten times harder and sales for future venues aren't looking good enough to prop the show up.
