Love this play! Hugely enjoyed my first encounter with it with the SRB/Jonathan Groff production. Hope Jessie Wallace is good. Saw it a couple of times. Hope it may come somewhere near London, but kicks off in Brighton, September 12th.

LOVED this play in London when it was on a few years back (saw it twice). Hope to catch it again.

Booked this for opening night in Cardiff - the mother-in-law loves a gritty play and wanted to see this over Hairspray or Miss Saigon! I was outraged!

Hi everybody!
Saw the Thursday matinee in Sheffield. My thoughts....
It's a really good production. Loved the set (watch out for the suit of armour... that's all I'm saying about THAT!). The whole cast is good (Beverly Klein is a hoot as Helga Ten Dorp), and after seeing 2 productions where Sydney is played as "Englishman-living-in-America", it was good to hear Paul Bradley speaking with a good US accent. Jessie's is good too.
For me, half the fun now is seeing it with an audience who isn't familiar with the play. I was a bit naughty at the interval when someone asked me if I was enjoying it, saying "Yeah, but where is it going?".
the long and short of it is, I've booked for Birmingham Alexander theatre on 11/11/17 for the matinee. See you there if you're going!

I like this play and will try and catch the tour. It is great if you have never seen it - delivers some real shocks! I remember seeing it at the Garrick Theatre originally with Gareth Hunt and the audience screaming with the twists in the plot! Great fun!

Caught the matinee today, some very satisfying audience gasps throughout. Silly as it ever was but still fun.

Saw this last night in Birmingham and have to say I was rather disappointed with it. Yes there were a few things that made me jump but I found it rather predictable over all and thought the role of Helga ten Dorp was played as way over the top. I certainly didn't find it a nerve-jangler as it was advertised as. I found Sam Phillips as Clifford was the best of the actors. On this showing I certainly won't be tempted to see it again.

When I was much younger I got a bit obsessed with Ira Levin’s novels : Stepford Wives, A Kiss Before Dying, Rosemary’s Baby. I found them to be real page turners, scary and thrilling. I haven’t read his work for years and wonder if it would still have the same effect.

I forgot the novel Boys from Brazil - another page turner.
