Well. What a jolly night out this was.

After trawling what appeared to be Murder Central to find the theatre the entrance ended up being around the corner from the Old Vic which was a relief. This is the perfect venue for this show set during the war. Lovely performances, Nicholas Coutu-Langmead in particular. Maggie is a bit dumb though. How she never knew George was gay is beyond me. She does also seem a little too nice to be so fruity on the stage. Some delightful songs and a few delightfully saucy ones too. Normally actor/musician fills me with dread but it works nicely here. A lovely night in the end.

I saw this a few weeks ago and very much enjoyed it! A nice mix of musical styles used and I was rooting for the two men throughout and their tough love story..the saucy sings were great along with the dramatic ballads - I feel in love with his deep singing voice and 1940's moustache!!

The atmosphere at the Vaults was great, tip if you see a show there check out nearby wacky pub 'Vaulty Towers' which is opposite err Chariots sauna!! 🌈
