So. Picking up on the last couple of pages, cast change is November 18th but its not on sale yet, is that correct? Correct... the current show hasn't extended past October just yet, but it will most likely extend very soon as Amber's final show has now been announced.
God, I feel like the Dreamgirls Whisperer, being the one with all the goss

A true spectacle. Nicholaw was born to do these big budget musicals and doesnt know let anything Down, its a really fast paced production of a great musical with a tremendous score.Also, what a set! I mean, the costumes were great, but the set was completely PERFECT, there were really great momentos for the staging of this show, congrats.
The cast was great, Asmeret was really on Fire tonight, the Curtis' actor was great and really hot, sometimes I felt Liisi was a bit OK but her rendition of Listen was Down right tremendous.J Bernard was also a standout.
But you know Amber Riley is running this From the moment that she steps on the stage. Charisma, determination, Shes funny, Sad, Shes everything and gives u the same. She had amazing moments but her performance of And I Am Telling is really the definition of a showstopper.
Its was worthy of every pence, congrats to everyone envolved.

Just woke up like a crazy person and downloaded And I Am Telling You from the cast recording. Much to my relief this is fabulously recorded and engineered, unlike the horrible Kinky Boots and Legally Blonde recording. You'd actually think it's recorded in a studio. Audience raptures only once mid-song, and it's not too disruptive at all..I actually like it.
Now what kind of f*ck*ry is this that we need to wait until the 12th to get the entire thing?

Can anybody please recommend fairly reasonable priced seats with a decent view for this? I'd buy top price but I'm a little short or cash right now as I've just moved to London.

I paid £60 for Row R of stalls, any row in the back stalls is about that price. That seemed a reasonable price to me and the view was absolutely fantastic, you could see everything except the top of the stage but that didn't matter because nothing happened there at all. I could even see all the facial expressions but that would be harder if you don't have good eyesight. Of course, if you want cheaper tickets I believe there are some restricted view ones right at the back of the stalls for £50 otherwise it's the grand circle. |

Currently £49.50 for peak dates - they drop to £20 when it's quiet! |

I think the cheering here is limited and very controlled, and also in the background as yo say. It also happens just once during the song, and only picks up again when the song ends. Unlike some more, erm, private recordings where there's audience participation throughout the entire song. I wonder if there will be an ovation during I Am Changing after the costume change. I don't mind the audience-- it sounds like a good quality recording and has been well produced overall- wish I could say the same about the London Kinky Boots and Legally Blonde. |

I agree, it sounds fine here, it is nothing out of control, and even when it happens during the song, it is as I say, in the background so not an issue really. I got Row E 8/9 Stalls for 49.50 on TodayTix about 3 Weds ago during Easter half term! I bought them a couple of days before. Might be worth keeping an eye out. |
