I agree. She's quite overrated. She acted pretty well, but she practically screamed and grunted her way through the show. She's a slightly better actress than Amber maybe, but Amber sings the show flawlessly.

I'm coming rounf more to the idea of this whole three people playing the role. I don't think the role itself justifies it, considering there are other roles on equal footing that has just one actress playing them, but at least it means thst you are pretty much guranteed to see one of the leads, so no one is dissapointed if an understudy is on as it will be one of the leads anyway.
I've also just noticed, and found it odd, wouldn't the three girls normally be listed in alphabetical order on the poster? Why is Marisha the middle one? Is it just a style choice or was it intentional for her to be the central one?

I bet that Marisha is on the most money and is indeed the leading Effie. It is just that SF (understandably) does not want to bill it that way thereby avoiding all the hoopla of Marisha being "off" and the audience feeling short changed. It's just less hassle.
I would suspect that Marisha will do "most" of the performances per week - 5/6 out of 8? We shall see......I am certainly not expecting a schedule to be announced which is a shame as I would like to catch Karen and Moya at some point. But I am afraid to say most people don't care who they see when the show is billed as the star.
I always think a show takes a step down at cast change. Certainly the show already misses Tyrone as CC - his replacement not a patch on him. Amber is sensational in the role. I was not as struck with Marisha if I am honest.

Marisha got screwed by raves in her first few performances. She was never going to live up to the height of that for everyone.

Theres a new CC at this cast change, so he didn't last long did he. The weirdest thing is that it's Tryones original cover isn't it? The lad from the stage stage school show? ^ not really..she's looked like this for at least the last two decades. Everyone's slightly washed out because of the flash, but otherwise Holliday has lost a sh*t load of weight a long time ago and is all glam. I saw her in Color Purple a year ago and she looks practically the same.

Ooh Moya Angela sounds interesting. I loved 'I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings'. To be honest, I thought she'd died a few years ago. She looks well enough in the picture though. Lol, Ryan, I think you are thinking of Maya Angleou :-D
