I saw this almost universally well-reviewed first play yesterday and had really been looking forward to it. I'm sure others here are aware of it and may even have seen it already or booked to do so but I can't find a thread. So for a brief outline I'll quote the theatre's own site:
"The headteacher’s office of a south London primary school is always busy. But today is results day and the phone won’t stop ringing. Jo, the headteacher of St. Barnabas, knows that the arrival of the school’s SATs results puts her job on the line. With the future of the school and its pupils at stake, Jo struggles to maintain order as her staff and superiors demand answers. Can she protect her students and herself?"
It was certainly worth seeing and I can't fault the commitment of the writer and cast, but the play didn't actually live up to my expectations: it seemed to me to try too hard to create crises and to cram in too many issues. I'm not saying these don't really exist and it's great for the spotlight to fall on education but in this case, a little less would have meant more. Keen however to hear others' views.

I saw this play during the preview section for a bargain of £12. I liked it, I guess they do try to cram in crisis after crisis but I guess we've all experienced days when just about everything goes wrong.
