Well I saw The Wizard of Oz twice, both near the end of the run and it sold well toward the end of the run. I also saw I Can't Sing and it was sold out as it was near the beginning of the run. And as for Cats, I daysat for Nicole Scherzinger and the show and there was about 70 people in line for dayseats (thankfully I got there early) and it was packed out, same once she left!
Tell a lie, I've been 6 times, as I saw Cinderella there in January! But that was sold out too haha.

I actually found out last that by chance a friend of a friend is actually in this. He old me what role he was playing (a minor part)

Hi all, some help please! So I booked a cheap ticket for this ages ago (STALLS SEAT A1) but now considering buying a different seat to have a better view. Anyone ever sat at the extreme ends of the stalls at the front? My friend is in this and and I don't want to miss anything but I don't mind being super close and having to look up. What do you guys reckon?

Yes, I've checked it. It faces a black stage front wall that you have to peer up and over to see the stage. Not much legroom either. Two seats along, the wall drops to orchestra pit height. Ah ok, I'm going to try to acquire a better seat! Thank you! |

Really looking forward to the show tonight! Samantha Barks is the main draw for me, but also looking forward to hearing the score, having only heard a song or two. |

I wanted to go especially with a few offers out there and seeing Mr Lipkin. But far too late at the disco last night and now I'm fit for nothing. I really should act my age and realise I don't have the stamina anymore.

Left my ticket on the mantle shelf so will have to pick up a duplicate when I get there! Last time I checked, Stalls and Upper Circle were pretty well sold, Dress Circle less so, but probably too many people on the top deck to close it and move them down.

Well that was fun! Score a bit old fashioned but nice and bouncy. Corny lyrics (Beyonce rhyming with fiancée) but a stronger second half with everyone comfortable in the concert version plus an Elvis number to rival the Pharaoh in Joseph Very enjoyable and silly show. I'd cut the number about Donna though. Arthur Darvill and Samantha Barks very good in the leads. Maxwell Caulfield can't sing but he did ok. |

Really enjoyed that (favourite rhyme 'rottener' and 'gotten her!) - thought the cast were fabulous. Yes, Max C was a little underpowered but not painfully so, while for me the standouts were Arthur Darvill and Simon Lipkin (though Rosemary Ashe did her best to steal the show). I didn't know the score at all but played by the LMTO at their ebullient best, it sounded fantastic - I think I've been rather spoiled for any lesser musical production of it!

I agree, that was a lot of fun! I knew nothing about it, have never seen the film or previously heard the score. It was almost too cheesy at times but the story is ridiculous so it somehow works. I thought the leads were all great in their own ways - agree Maxwell Caulfield can't really sing but he played the character well. In contrast Sam Barks sang beautifully but I kept hoping for a bit more from her acting - her solos were great on both fronts but in the duets I thought she could have done more in terms of interacting with whoever she happened to be singing with/to at the time instead of playing it out into the audience quite so much, but maybe the direction was to blame more than her. I thought Arthur Darvill got both the singing and acting, and the comedy for that matter, spot on - he and Simon Lipkin were the standouts for me. The Elvis bits had me in stitches, as did Rosemary Ashe for pretty much the whole time she was on stage! A hugely enjoyable evening overall, the orchestra was superb and Mr Jason Robert Brown himself on piano at the end rounded it all off nicely |

Absolutely blown away by this amazing cast. Not sure I'd want to see a fully staged production, but Jason Robert Brown sure knows how to write some catchy tunes. Hoping for more concerts with the LMTO.

Agree with all comments above. Very funny, lots of comedy and loved how Arthur Darvill played to the audience; he was very engaging, great voice, great comic timing. Sam Barks has wonderful vocals but I felt she needed to bring an extra something to the performance. I bought my ticket because of Simon Lipkin, he's a huge presence on stage and out sang everyone else (my opinion). His flying Elvis was the stuff of legends. Rosemary Ashe was superb. Nicholas Colicos was another who engaged the audience with his performance.
Big mentions to Richard James-King as the guy trying to find flights to Vegas-via-Atlanta! Maisey Bawden as Mahi and Hywel Dowsel as Teihutu, both perfomances the audience really enjoyed.
Maxwell Caulfield did pretty well. I can't remember what I saw him in previously and hated, so was dreading his performance, but he did OK.
