I went to the Funky Butt Club once. The sign at the door telling you to bring your own Marigolds with you should have raised suspicions but it was a real eye opener I can tell you.

Went the other night. Show was sweet with great performances. The main issue we had was the pros design with so many poles in the way I missed 80 percent of the show. The ring layout was used but then most of the show is played to the inside crowd - most of the audience is sat at the sides and the back. I really think those speigletents really only work with the action played in the middle on a raised podium. The seating plan didn't work well and it was directed badly without that in mind which is a shame.

It's going to be a mega rush for us as our coach doesn't get into London until 11.50 (if it's on time of course). We have to get to our hotel near Euston and then get over to Marble Arch for 2.30pm. Not sure if it's worth the stress if you can't see anything. |

The reports I've had are that the cheapest seats are some of the best. The cheapest section at the back is raked, whereas the ringside ones are not - so the second row has trouble looking past the first. The cheapest side seats have a decent view - the pillars are mostly thin, so you don't miss a lot. Should be OK, I'm hearing. This isn't true I'm afraid. I had two poles blocking my view (I was also in side seats) I seriously missed 80 percent. Other cheap seats if lucky will have no poles in view of course. |

Ours are D62 and D63. Oh well, for £15 it's worth a punt. I've just booked for the tour of Sunset Boulevard and the cheapest seats at my local theatre (back of the gods) are £27.

Saw this last night.
The show itself is paper thin but the production is very imaginative and energetic, all of the Moes do a very admirable job with 'Four Eyes' and 'Big Moe' probably being the standouts. The songs are terrific and the band red-hot, and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
I loved the theatre, personally. A very convincing and authentic recreation of the small New Orleans/Chicago bars we loved so much during our visit to those cities, with a great drinks selection (name me another theatre where a guy can get a pint of Goose Island on tap). The warm-up act were sensational and I loved the band playing in the rafters.
I do agree with the earlier comments regarding the sightlines, we were sat in the outer stalls and had a large pillar blocking most of the right-hand side of the stage and also couldn't see anything that happened at the back of the room. The staging in general is pretty great so it's a shame this impacted that.
There's some *very* extensive audience participation, so make sure you sit on the raked seating rather than at the tables if that isn't your bag.
All in all I'd say plenty to recommend.

You should do quite well, as they are at least more central than the ones I had a report from. Wow on those Sunset prices.
I am a Centre Stage Member (for £35 a year I get £3.50 off all tickets) and have booked on the midweek matinee, which is quite a bit cheaper than other days and got our tickets for £35.00 in the rear stalls, so not too bad.

Saw the show tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it! Yes the plot string thing the show together is rather thin but the wonderful cast charm you so much that you don't really mind.
The physical production is really good and I love how it's staged; there is a revolve which seems to be becoming standard in any production now, but its thrilling and there was a little lighting moment that made me ooh out loud!
The band were on fire and sounded great, I'd love a recording of this production as everything sounded so great.
A shout out to all the front of house and security who were perhaps the friendliest group I have seen in a while (and there was a rather handsome usher there too)
I sat in C75, front row close to the side and at £15 it was a steal. you're going to get a slightly obstructed view wherever you sit due to it being in the round and pillars or performing behind you if you're in the inner circle but I would highly recommend this seat/area.

We were sat in D20 & D21, as I said there's a pillar and it's also very difficult to see what's happening at the back of the revolve. Nothing show-ruining because they make an effort to ensure there's something going on at all angles!
To my shame, I didn't mention in my review how good Edward Baruwa was as Nomax. A role that could be easily upstaged by the constant energy of the Five Guys but he put in a very restrained, naturalistic performance (very Clarke Peters-esque, you might say) that held everything together perfectly.

Seats are very uncomfortable here. They are just metal at your back - no padding. Would advise you to take a cushion for your back.

We saw the matinee on Thursday, seats D65 and D66 which is actually the second row back from the revolve on slightly the left side and missed very little. There was a narrow pillar slightly to my right but it didn't spoil it for me at all, I just moved my head slightly. I absolutely loved it, the venue was so intimate and the Moes were all so slick with their dancing and timing. For £15 a ticket it was a steal. Loved the whole speakeasy set up from the bar into the theatre. Great atmosphere.

I'm in my 60's and my husband is in his 70's and we didn't find them uncomfortable at all, and there was more leg room than in many other theatres.

I saw this yesterday and I actually really really liked it! Act2 was a bit weaker than the 1st and I didnt like that crowd participation scene, but the end of act 1; i loved it haha!
Also, the foyer, amazing atmosphere. And for the first time in forever, not a queue at the ladies.

Saw this last night - initially in D27 but with one of the larger pillars directly in front. Would have been minimally restrictive as had a clear view of the stage and the action on the revolve moves around, but was really distracting in my eyeline. Asked Box Office if they could possibly move me and ended up in D49, slightly house left of centre with a great view. I love this music, and they performed it brilliantly, so while the show itself is a barely formed hangar for it, I was very happy wiht the result. Agree with other comments re the foyer/bar area - great atmosphere. A fun night out.
