As we walked by the Savoy tonite about 6 (on way to Fernandez and Wells only to find they were closing for the evening) I said to my wife "I'm going to go to box office and ask if Sheridan is on tonite". Wife advised me not to do that. We already had to to Titanic so could not have changed even if we had been given the info!

It is great that Sheridan has returned and she has been cured, I am really pleased for her.

This is really nice news. It's made me really happy. I still don't think I'll see the show, but good on her for coming back.

I have kept of this thread for a few weeks as it was getting all rather silly but am absolutely thrilled that Sheridan is back. She is honestly one of the nicest people I have ever met, a very genuine and lovely person.
I can see why it was kept quiet with no announcement as it would have been a total media scrum if the press knew and could have spoilt everything.
I wonder how they announced it on the night. Would be great if any forum members were there to report back. I would have loved it if they just made an announcement saying "Ladies and Gentlemen, at tonights performance of Funny Girl the role of Fanny will be played by Sheridan Smith". I probably would have wet myself or cried, or both!
Welcome back Sheridan

It's great she has returned, and that Natasha still gets to perform every week as she has certainly earned the reward after covering for so many weeks.
Glad I have been able to see both of them perform the role.
Question I ask myself now though is whether I'll go see Sheridan again (though I think seeing it twice at the Menier, once at Savoy and have tour tickets booked that going again would be a bit too obsessive)

If I was her, I wouldn't just yet, if at all. Yeah i dont know if she will or not. She used to use it quite a lot so maybe she's better off without it? We'll see soon!

If they've been announcing Sheridan's indisposition for every performance that NJB stood in for, then last night was back to business as usual, and therefore no announcement needed.

I bet there was a lot of talking through the overture then.. I hate that 😑

Hopefully she'll finish the cast recording too. When is it due out?

Hopefully she'll finish the cast recording too. When is it due out? I second this. I'd love to have this recording - preferably with Shezza, purely because I've seen her twice in the role and Natasha 0 times.

So happy she has returned, just in time for my trip on the 18th! The media will lap this up - they dragged her down and now it'll be time to put her back on a pedestal. It's the British way I suppose. The 18th will be Natasha?

Did anyone dayseat this morning for the evening show? I wouldn't be surprised if it was busy.

I checked availability online about 5pm and there was one seat in the Upper Circle and that was it - can't imagine the day seat queue left any spares either!

When I exchanged my seats around 4 weeks ago there was very very limited seats for the selection of days we were looking. Checked yesterday and there's now much more selection so we moved more central!
