If you go to the Instagram account for Company they have a video of the curtain call and the whole of the speech. I can only see a photo of the audience and a photo of the curtain from last night on their Instagram - have they taken the video down or am I missing it? [b Just checked. Not a very techie person but it's in the bit which runs along the top of the page. You may have to follow Company to see it.

Congrats to Company on a great run! I’m not a huge fan of Company of of itself but as quality of productions go this one is pretty hard to beat. I think this will be a great asset to Broadway if it transfers over ❤️

My BF and I were there last night and it was a truly transcendental night at the theatre. A night neither of us will ever forget. We will always think of it as "our" show as we both became so obsessed with it. It's really fuelled his love of the theatre.
It was everything I hoped it would be. The cast all turned the volume up on their performances and there was a little more fourth wall breaking than usual but it was all proportionate and enhanced the show for this particular audience rather than for themselves. Rosalie's performance was one for the ages. She gave it absolutely everything and Being Alive, in particular, was a very emotional experience for her and for the audience.
Am I right in thinking that Patti held her final "RIIIIIIIIIIISE" for a couple of extra bars last night? Either way, her performance was incredible. It's such a privilege to have seen her perform that song at all but last night was something else. JB, Mel, Gavin Spokes and The Fleesh really amped things up too. Barcelona was magnificent - the interplay between Craig and Fleeshman was just wonderful and Gavin Spokes lifting up the bed covers really set me off.
Side By Side By Side was magnificent last night too. The entire company were really relishing doing it for the last time.
It was evident from the curtain call just how much this show has meant to the cast and to the audience. We also had a great view of the maestro himself, Stephen Sondheim, from our seats in the front row of the Upper Circle. His reaction to Getting Married Today was adorable.
I also thought nothing could top the atmosphere of Miss Saigon 25 but Company has done it. I wonder how long until such a wonderful show comes along again. Until then, I will relish all the memories.
I've got tickets booked for Marianne Elliot's "Death Of A Salesman" at The Young Vic, which will be very different. I can't wait for her to direct another musical as Company was utter perfection.

I'd probably agree with that overall. I was bowled over by the direction, design and of course the performances, but as a musical piece, it was about a 3.5 out of 5 for me - I didn't wholeheartedly connect with it.

After Ben Brantley’s review it's going to Broadway.

Cannot wait to see what musical Ms Elliot takes a smash at next. I feel sorry for her, she's got to beat this!

I'd like her to do an Andrew Lloyd Webber!
Or Kander and Ebb!

Maybe it was called one of the many other titles it's known by (Wise Guys? Bounce?). I saw it but have very little recollection of the production other than understanding why it had never been successfully produced before. The book is a mess and the score like a bad Sondheim mash-up of his back catalogue.

I'd still like to have the opportunity to see it. Sorry you didn't like it.

Road Show wasn’t that good. The Menier staging was good though - seats were set out like a fashion show with it performed along the middle.

Agree that the staging was extremely good. Very minimal catwalk staging with crates and a few tables from what I remember. I liked the music and the gay ‘The best thing that ever happened’ I found revelatory at the time. I’d love to see HarperElliott have a go at it as I think it’s a bit of a gem. Can’t see an immediate role for Patti, but perhaps she can tear tickets. 🤫

Yeah same! It’s not a musical I have ever really connected with. Tbh I feel like that about a lot of Sondheim, lol!

I really like Road Show. Bernadette Peters was in a post Bounce / pre Roadshow workshop. I presume playing the mother, so bringing this back on topic, Pattie could play that part.
If I had my way I would insert My two young men in at the start and Little House for Mamma after Adison's big speech on how to change American architecture and then the show would be perfect!!!!!
