These reviews are putting Jonathan and Patti as firm favourites at this point to win those Olivier's come 2019. And obviously Rosalie will get a nomination too, but to win three performance catagories? Hmmmm. I just hope Richard Fleeshman gets the nomination too, he really deserves it for the performance and the body.

Murmurings on the BroadwayWorld board is that the production is still planned to transfer to Broadway this Spring, but not with this cast (which is why it could feesably extend again in London). And rumours are that a female Oscar winner making her Broadway debut in this production come the Broadway run, expected to replace either Rosalie or Patti, so that age spectrum is wide open.

Pleased this has extended. I can see it in Feb/March rather than try and squeeze in a trip before Christmas.

I could see this transferring with Dame Pattie and la Bailey making a fabulous broadway debut. Can’t see Rosalie going with it though - she doesn’t say say star performer to me

As a group, only a week or two ago we were cool on the prospects of this, noting large seat availability. Now suddenly everyone’s predicting a Broadway transfer.
I’m still not sure a high-priced Sondheim revival translates to box office hit. Hope I’m wrong, but we’ll see.

Anne Hathaway seems most likely of the names being floated on Broadway World. She has the acting chops, feels like a good fit, and has some singing experience ... and is 35.

The front page of today's Torygraph features a rather... unfortunate photo caption:

That smacks of a sub-editor who's never seen the show and was frantically skimming the Wikipedia article for something they could latch on to in order to make the point of the gender-swapping.

To be fair, it's the front page of the Telegraph so these days it's a given that it was written and captioned by idiots.

I do think this will transfer- but the BroadwayWorld forum is filled up with so much crap! One fangirl mentions a name, and then everyone tags along with it. On the Company board last week they were all arguing over Sutton Foster or Laura Benanti for Bobbie! I would love to see the full cast transfer with this if it did. Rosalie done the workshop and the subsequent productions, whilst Anne Hathaway would be nice, I doubt Marianne would get rid of her in order to stunt cast it. I could think of other parts that could be stunt-casted rather than the lead! Slim possibility it could transfer with the full cast and open at the end of March, after the extension and just make the Tony deadline. It would stand a good chance at the Tony awards this season, I imagine they'll want it open for that! What is in the pipeline for the next Tony season?

Will Patti be considered for supporting and Rosie for Lead?

Joanne is very much a supporting role under any definition (no matter how big the star name)
Bobby is the lead role (whether it is Bobby or Bobbie or any other future spelling!)

This is genius: The cast of Company try to sing "Not Getting Married Today".
End of the video, Jonny B: "Just come to the show, I'll show you how its done". 😂😂

Cheeky little wink from Jonny B at the end.
