After much frantic refreshing on 2 mobiles today I was eventually lucky enough to get a Todaytix Rush ticket for tonight's performance after about 20 mins and just before it was announced they had all gone. It's end of Row D in Dress Circle so it should be OKish. Selling for £79.50 so to get it for £25 is bargainalicious! |

Airline pilot makes a lot more sense in this iteration than flight attendant. I mean, in what corner of the western world are there any STRAIGHT male flight attendants LOL? I'm cabin crew and I'm gay (not sure which point I'm trying to prove here) but there are quite a lot of straight male cabin crew - in my previous airline there were definitely more straight male crew than gay male crew. I'm in the industry as well and I agree. A lot of cabin crew are gay but there is a lot of straight guys working as crew also. On the other hand most pilots are straight but there is more and more openly gay pilots out there these days Regarding Andy being a pilot or a Flight Attendant, the stereotype is that cabin crew are dumb and pilots are smart, the reality is that some crew have lots of different backgrounds and some of them have/had other careers from teachers to police men/women and even lawyers. Pilots can be very articulate, sound very smart and give the impression of confidence but in a lot of cases they can only talk about one subject, planes, and that's it. They deserve credit for having the skills necessary to fly a plane safely and take important decisions very quickly which it's not something anyone can do, but when it comes to their social skills sometimes they can be very poor. Some of the most plain people I've met are pilots. It'll be interesting to see what they've done with the dialogue that Andy and Bobbie have about him wanting to move to Radio City Music Hall and sharing an apartment and and all that. I love that part. As in Follies I actually really enjoy the spoken parts in Company. Obviously the songs and the music are the most important bit but the dialogue brings something very important as a whole. |

I don’t see this happening, bar the odd bit of dynamic pricing (which seems to be happening in both directions already). It’s still in previews, getting a lot of love and it’s a short run - word of mouth will keep it going I’d have thought. Though I’d love a few discounts so I can keep going back! |

I didn’t get gay vibes from any of the boyfriends. They just weren’t full on macho dudes, which is how they have been played a decade ago if this were done then - I think the idea of a macho guy is becoming less of the norm and I just thought the piece tried to reflect that.
Andy I thought was portrayed as a very sweet, sensitive, kind hearted guy that had all the right qualities except for a bit of intelligence and a typical NYC sensibility. Street smart he is not, bless him. In a lot of ways I thought it was gender reverse on the ‘dumb blonde’ stereotype - a nice bit of arm candy, but not much else.

This was my first experience of “Company”, I knew a few of the songs obviously but not the context.
This is one very classy production! Marianne Elliot has done a marvellous job with the direction here. Staging and design top class - the best I’ve seen for an original West End production for a long time. Having never seen it before, the change from Bobby to Bobbie worked very well, and I thought all the characters worked well within the context.
Rosalie Craig - stunning!
Patti Lupone is.... well, Patti Lupone, exactly what you want!
Show stealer though was Not Getting Married - the audience went crazy! Must say I thought Side by Side was fantastically staged.
I will be back to this one for sure!

How does the wonderful April/June lyric joke in "Barcelona" work with men sted of women in those roles? **Spoiler** It’s become “Randy/Andy” (Sorry, I don’t know how to do spoilers on the mobile website) One reason why I need to see it again is that I spent a lot of energy waiting to see how they coped with various problems I foresaw the switches causing. It is distracting but fun. However most are better handled than this. The original may not be worthy of vintage Wilde, but it’s a nice surprise. The new lyric is just rather obvious. |

Well, this was phenomenal. Just blown away and it deserves to be the hottest ticket in town. It’s still finding its pacing at certain points but, that aside, it really lived up to the hype. Standouts are much the same as everyone is suggesting, with Rosemary Craig nailing it. I’ve always found Bobby a bit of a cipher before, but female Bobbi is a fully rounded, flawed human and is the heart of the entire show. Loved the gender swaps, to the point I can’t imagine this being done any differently in the future. Patti displays her honed skills as a world class actress to compliment her legendary pipes. Marianne Elliot has yet again proven herself to be an outstanding, visionary director. I’m going back as soon as I’m able. Bravo.

Saturday 13th matinee has 39.50 but only W, T and back are 49.50. A week later they are 49.50 so maybe it’s only a week or two ahead the price comes down. |

I enjoyed it but didn’t fall in love with it.
It is incredibly slickly staged and the cast are phenomenal. Rosalie Craig radiates to the back and is very funny.
From the earlier discussion none of the boyfriends came over as gay to me. Just Bobbie was out of their league.
The audience were really annoying at times, loud laughing before the punchline so I missed a lot of the jokes (or I’m really slow). It was also a horrid crush before the house opened.
Also the stalls bar downstairs only takes credit cards and cash not debit cards (I don’t know about the other bars).
